Welcome to Momentum Arts Studios, the premier dance and acrobatic school in Australia! Located at 11 Arcade Road in Mont Albert, our studio is a haven for dancers and acrobats of all ages and skill levels. Founded in 2015 by the renowned dancer and choreographer Jack May, Momentum is a studio with a focus on Hip Hop and Acrobatics, but above all, we prioritize fun!
Our inclusive and family-friendly environment welcomes everyone and offers a wide range of classes to suit every individual. With additional locations in Elsternwick, we serve suburbs such as Surrey Hills, Burwood, Balwyn, Kew, Camberwell, Box Hill, Caulfield, Brighton, Elwood, St Kilda, and many more. At Momentum, we believe in providing opportunities for everyone. Whether you're looking to take your training to the next level through our competitive stream or simply want to enjoy recreational classes after some basic dance training, we have something for everyone. We pride ourselves on having no wild uniform fees or enforced class packages - just pure dance and acrobatics!
Our classes cater to students aged 4 and above, including adults. Regardless of your skill level, we have multiple class options to accommodate your needs. Momentum is the perfect place for refining skills, seeking an alternative form of exercise, or simply having a great time. Our classes are designed to progressively develop style and technique in a positive and supportive atmosphere.
As an experienced instructor with over 10 years in the industry, Jack May understands the positive benefits of movement-based exercise for children, teenagers, and adults. At Momentum, we provide a perfect platform for continually developing coordination, self-confidence, and body awareness. Additionally, we offer integration of our classes into school curriculums, supplementing PE and Performing Arts programs, creating whole school concert/performance material, and entertaining OSCH clubs students.
We also offer workshops and incursions for studios and schools. Our School Incursion Info Pack contains all the relevant information, and we are happy to customize a lesson plan specifically for your needs.
At Momentum Arts Studios, we run acrobatics and dance classes for primary to high school-aged students. Our inclusive studio focuses on fun, and our students work and train hard while enjoying their time with us. Located near the Boroondara Sports Centre, we often have students relocating to us as they find our inviting energy easier and more pleasant to work with.
Our gymnastics/acrobatics program allows students to progressively develop their strength, flexibility, and control, with the goal of comfortably performing impressive tricks such as aerials, backflips, cartwheels, round-offs, and many more. With a wide array of equipment and experienced trainers, our small class sizes ensure that students receive the attention they need. We also offer private lessons for those with specific goals in mind.
