Poowong Outdoor Pool

Welcome to Poowong Outdoor Pool, a premier establishment located at Poowong, Loch-Poowong Road, in the beautiful country of Australia. As an institution focused on health and wellness, we are not only a point of interest but also a school where individuals can learn and thrive.

Although our pools are currently closed for the cooler months, we eagerly anticipate reopening for the summer season from late November to early December 2023. Specific dates can be found on our pool location pages, so be sure to mark your calendars!

From 26 November 2022 to 13 March 2023, we invite casual visitors to come and enjoy lap swimming and water play at Poowong Outdoor Pool. Our facility boasts a magnificent six-lane, 33-meter lap pool as well as a safe and enjoyable toddler's pool. Nestled among lush greenery, our pool provides ample grassed areas for families and groups of all sizes to relax and have fun.

Please note that our opening hours are weather-dependent. We determine our operating hours based on the Leongatha forecast on the Bureau of Meteorology website, with a decision made by 6:00 pm on the day prior. If the forecast maximum temperature for Leongatha exceeds 35 degrees at 6:00 pm the day before, we will remain open to the public until 8:30 pm.

For those who hold season passes, you gain access to all South Gippsland outdoor pools. In the event that the outdoor pools are closed due to cooler weather, season pass holders are welcome to use our sister site, South Gippsland SPLASH.

Conveniently located on Loch-Poowong Rd, Poowong VIC 3988, our pool offers a free car park opposite the swimming pool in the center of Nyora Road, ensuring easy access for all visitors.

At Poowong Outdoor Pool, we prioritize safety. As a Watch Around Water endorsed aquatic safety organization, we adhere to industry guidelines that outline the minimum supervision requirements for young children at all affiliated aquatic venues. This policy was launched in our center on 1 September 2019, emphasizing our commitment to the well-being of our patrons.
