"Firedoor offers an absolutely incredible and unique culinary experience. To say that I ate the best steak of my life here is an understatement as it was so much more than that. The dry aged steak is imbued with so much flavour it’s almost overwhelming to the senses. Every dish is prepared with such care that it causes you to experience flavours you never thought possible in a blend of complex simplicity that is uniquely Firedoor. I’m not usually a fan of eating game meats like kangaroo however the way it was prepared and cooked made it one of my favourite dishes of the night. The service and ambience is top class and the wine list adds to the narrative and experience of the set menu. I finished it off with a Negroni which was also sensational. This is not a restaurant, it’s an experience… and one that you will never forget."
"We had a fantastic time and Lennox was very friendly and polite (considering my fanboying). The 270 day dry aged steak was truly outstanding! Have never tasted a steak as delicious as that and probably won’t again! The artichoke was the absolute surprise of the night- almost meaty. Lived up to expectations (which were super high)."
"I never give any place in the world a 5 star review because I never believed anything could be perfect. I have never been happier to be proven wrong. This meal was a masterclass from start to finish, a symphony of joy and flavours all in harmony. Everything was faultless. From service to food to every single small touch. Genuinely mind blowing. The food of course, is unfathomably good. My tastebuds have been ruined forever, I can’t eat anything else. In particular, the artichoke and lamb were incredible. The flavours of the fire to the perfect cook on everything is something I will remain dreaming of for the rest of my life. If you only have one meal left to eat in this world, I cannot think of any where else I’d recommend in the world. This is truly a masterclass of cooking and I wish everyone can experience it. Fly to Sydney just for this meal if you must. It is truly special."
"It was a great experience and time, especially with the wines, that was delivered. Service was was to a quality standard and most of the food was spectacular. The atmosphere of the restaurant waz nice especially with open kitchen in view. The flames and charcoal burning wafted throughout the venue and air adding to the atmosphere. I was happy with most of the dishes that came out and my favourite was probably the Jerusalem artichoke. The steak was an add on as well as the pipis. You could really taste the aging flavour that come with aged beef and is quite strong. It was a great steak but would not order again if I came again. The thing is with all the dishes is that they all worked well together rather than any individual component."
