About the Business
Welcome to Beaches Women's Therapy, a trusted establishment located at 11 Waratah Street, Mona Vale, Australia. At our institution, we prioritize your health and well-being as a point of interest. Amanda, our experienced and compassionate counsellor, holds a Master of Counselling and is registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA20156). She brings an engaging and gentle approach to therapy, with a focus on Person-Centred care.
Amanda specializes in women's counselling and couples therapy, offering support for individuals and relationships facing various challenges. Her expertise extends to working with both children and adults dealing with grief, loss, trauma, separation anxiety, behavioural difficulties, emotional regulation, self-esteem issues, OCD, stress, anxiety, and depression.
If you find yourself feeling stuck, repeating the same patterns, or struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, repetitive thoughts, or sleep issues, we are here to help. We will work together to gain a deeper understanding of your patterns and triggers, equipping you with the tools for lasting change.
In addition to Amanda's expertise, we are excited to introduce Sigmund, our therapy dog in training. As soon as he is ready, he will join our sessions to provide additional comfort and support.
For those experiencing feelings of being unseen, unappreciated, ignored, or constantly fighting without effective communication, we can assist in breaking the cycle. If you need healing from past hurt or trauma, or if you are seeking to rekindle the spark in your relationship, we are here for you. Strengthening connections and rebuilding intimacy, empathy, and trust are crucial in navigating the stresses faced by modern families.
We understand that each child is unique, and parenting does not come with a manual. Whether your child has become moody and withdrawn, struggles with separation anxiety, emotional outbursts, or peer group difficulties at school, we can help you navigate the complexities of parenthood. Let's discuss tailored strategies to support both you and your child through this labyrinth.
At Beaches Women's Therapy, we also offer a women's circle for newly (and not so newly!) single women. This safe and non-judgemental space allows women to share their experiences of separation, the ripple effect on their lives, and the adjustments that come with this new chapter. Many of us feel alone during this time, but together, we can connect, share fears, hopes, and support one another. These sessions are limited to small groups of 4, so bookings are essential. Please email Amanda for enquiries and expressions of interest.
We are grateful for the testimonials from our clients, expressing their appreciation for our wisdom, guidance, and care. Our insights have transformed relationships, helping couples find themselves in a better place, out of the rut.
In addition to face-to-face counselling, we also offer the convenience of online therapy through video link. You can access our services from the comfort of your own home.

Reviews
"I'm not someone who writes reviews but when I do, is out of the need to share, what for me has been an amazing experience. Beaches Women's Therapy is everything you should expect, the place is so cozy, beautiful and peaceful. Amanda is a skilled professional counsellor who makes you feel at easy and it feels like a friend who not only extends a hand to help you but is also there walking by your side. I could not recommend her more as a counsellor."
