"After going to a number of furniture stores, I ended up buying from here because of the exceptional customer service. They also have a great range of products, but the service was top notch. It was clear that Raylene and Elaine really cared about their customers, they went above and beyond to help with styling and we definitely felt like we were in good hands. Will definitely be buying my furniture from here in future. Highly recommended."
"On 13 March, I purchased 1 lounge sofa from Domayne QV. Although I initially had considered getting the timber and cloth customized, I was advised by the salesperson that there was immediate availability for the same store model, so I opted for that to reduce wait time. I was verbally told to expect the lounge sofa within 2-4 weeks. I distinctly recall this conversation because I had done a lot of window shopping and been warned about long wait times due to COVID, so this delivery time stood out to me. Since that day in March, I never received an update from Domayne without being the one to take the initiative. Every time I called, I would be forwarded on to various people who no concrete updates. Weeks turned into months and I was always not given an update or told to just wait another week. Finally last week (now nearing the end of June) after again being the one to chase up and update, I was hastily told my delivery would be arriving on a work day with no advisement on an estimated time to coordinate availability to receive the delivery. The operations manager — who was unable to ever call me for almost 4 months — suddenly knew my number well to request the remaining deposit for the sofa immediately. When asked if there would be any acknowledgment of the significant disparity in delivery time, she became rude, defensive, and dismissive. She stated I would be required to either pay the balance and set up a delivery time, or pay a cancellation fee for a product because it had been “custom made in Australia for you.” This, obviously, goes against what the salesperson had told me and completely contradicts why I ultimately decided to get the same fabric and timber as the store model. For reference, I have made purchases from other stores with prolonged wait times and have evidence of that (happy to provide if requested). Those stores were honest and upfront about the ACTUAL expected wait time before any purchase was made. They have also made a concerted effort to maintain contact with me throughout the waiting period to advise of updates or offer me the chance to cancel my order. Domayne’s operations manager has NO place in customer service as she in incapable of dealing with clients. Her instinctive reaction was to divert my concerns to the salesperson. When that was not successful, she displayed no compassion, no understanding, and no concern for the valid frustrations anyone might experience after being misled and patiently awaiting a delivery for months. The idea of even offering a compensatory discount was not considered in the least. Please take heed of all the 1 star reviews about this business as the same complaints around atrocious communication and deceit from the salespeople to make a commission run through them all. I wish I could comment about their furniture itself, but after an experience like this, I’d never recommend buying from Domayne QV to my worst enemy. Edit: File a transaction dispute with your credit card company if Domayne refuses to give you your money back Addition: Even after writing a dispute on their site, as was suggested by the company’s response to my review, I’m still yet to hear back from anyone."
"Visited Domayne Qv furniture store while in city and was very pleased with selection we are currently in process of building (early stages) and I'm so glad I stumbled in to the store, never realised there was a Domayne/Harvey Norman store in the City in QV! Beautiful shop with such nice pieces at pretty decent prices for what you get! In great location too although a little hidden on top level of QV building. Very good service from staff as well. So welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. Rare these days! They have everything we need for our new home even bedroom furniture and electrical too. We are about 8 or so months off from a big purchase but will definitely be coming back!"
