About the Business
Welcome to Victoria University: Footscray Nicholson Campus! Located at 238A Nicholson Street in Footscray, Australia, our institution is a point of interest and establishment that offers a world-class education in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
At Victoria University, we prioritize our students and their preferences, providing them with the confidence to submit their preferences for their desired courses. We offer a unique learning experience through VU Polytechnic's award-winning learning models. With our industry-focused courses and employment support, students can achieve their desired career goals.
One of the highlights of studying at Victoria University is our VU Block Model, which offers interactive workshop-style classes instead of traditional lectures. This model allows students to study one subject at a time in smaller, collaborative classes, fostering a more engaging and supportive learning environment. Students benefit from close relationships with tutors and maximum help due to the small class sizes. Many students credit the Block Model for their continued passion for learning, even after starting with a TAFE course.
We pride ourselves on being ranked in the top 3% of universities worldwide and welcome international students to join our diverse and inclusive community. Studying with us in one of the world's most liveable cities, Melbourne, offers a unique experience that combines academic excellence with a vibrant and multicultural lifestyle.
As an institution, we also acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional owners of the land on which our campuses are located. We recognize the deep knowledge embedded within the Aboriginal community and their ownership of Country. Our Moondani Balluk Indigenous Academic Unit provides further insight into Aboriginal knowledge practices.
To enhance the student experience, we offer the MyVU Portal, where students can access all their Victoria University details, including invoices, enrolments, results, and examination information. Additionally, staff members can log in to the MyVU Portal to access key university systems through the staff portal.
No matter which campus you choose to study at, whether it's Footscray, the City, or the outer west of Melbourne, you'll enjoy industry-focused facilities and a supportive and diverse community.
Join us at Victoria University: Footscray Nicholson Campus and experience a world-class education that puts you first.

"I would give a zero star if I could. I was enrolled Feb last year to do my Diploma of Early Childhood and have studied here until April this year. I have fallen pregnant while studying fast forward they were very dismissive and unhelpful to the point of discrimination. I was coerced to withdrawing my course and was given zero option regardless my inability due to my pregnancy and it’s complication. I wasn’t able to do it under Free TAFE as I have used it prior. I have spent all my savings for the course and all the time just to get nothing at the end of it but a severe financial hardship and inability to provide for my son. And until today my emotional state is still affected and my ability to provide for my son.. It has destroyed not only my life but my family’s. I would never recommend unless you’re looking to deteriorate yourself and come out of it with a loss rather than educated and qualified. Please think twice that your action could severely impact someone’s life and wellbeing.."
"Went to VenU at Victoria University tonight. A training restaurant for young people. 3 choices for each of entree mains and dessert Good food well served with young people having a real go. $45 for 3 courses although we had a special of buy one get one free. Wines very reasonably priced at around $32 per bottle and cocktails at $12. Certainly will go again"
"All is quiet on the Nicholson campus with limited return. There’s little vibe at present. The cafe is friendly and offers a good fare, reasonably priced."
"This place is bad every year. The learning system with all the content has broken links, hard to find stuff, timetable classes online kept changing every time during covid in 2020 when I was studying. Assignments are vague. At least now you can enrol online rather than on campus in 2016 with those slow computers they had. Need signs inside the buildings to know where things are. The campus and online need a lot of work done."
"I already studied for 1 year in EAL level II and passed all my assessments. I’ve been on time in a classroom and just had 3 to 5 sessions absent.i really expected to be passed and go to level III but at the end of term I was told that I am not eligible to go to next level and I had to study 1 more year to can pass the level II. I asked my teachers if I have passed all the assessments and all the conditions for to be passed and go to next level and my teachers answered me yes but you can not go for next level because no one has passed this level from our class,so you can not go to the next level too as everyone should study level II for 2 years not just 2 year.i am not happy as they have wasted 1 year of my life and they ruined all my plans for future and next year. They just played with our life so I don’t recommend studying in vic uni to everyone.kind regards: MILAD ZAHABI"
