"I felt that Dr Tan was dismissive and failed to properly assess the cause of my pain. Based on the other google reviews I can see, it appears I’m not the only one who felt she was dismissive. I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis by another gynaecologist I saw elsewhere. Dr Tan failed to diagnose this. I wish I never went here."
"Absolutely fantastic service and assistance. I was referred to Professor Vancaille and during the $410 initial assessment he spent 2 hours with me, and asked for his colleague Liz Howard (Osteopath and Pain management specialist) to assess me within the same visit at no extra charge. Both Liz and Professor Vancaille have been key health professionals in improving my quality of life. They have restored my faith in health professionals with regards to chronic pain and taking my concerns seriously, as opposed to many other health professionals blaming anxiety for my ongoing pain. They assisted me with setting up the recommendations at home, explaining everything clearly and concisely, and gave handouts and written notes in regards to my specific questions, so I wouldn't forget the information. I received non judgmental and understanding responses from my (many) questions. They were were able to give me instant relief that was simultaneously relaxing and pain relieving. I have never experienced relief so widespread and helpful, so quickly, and without any stress response from the treatment like some massages/physio/chiro/osteo health proffessionals I have tried in the past (headaches or muscle tension and pain afterwards). The daily medication I was recommended has helped reduce my pain levels almost completely, and ongoing support from the team has been amazing. I am soon to see their pelvic physio, and due to the outstanding care from the entire clinic I am not nervous going into the appointment at all, which is a first for me for any health appointment! I have never written a review before, although after seeing them for 6 months now, I feel compelled to spread the good word. 100% recommend."
"I saw Yasmin Tan a year ago for my first endometriosis surgery and was left disappointed and underwhelmed by the treatment. The report from surgery was lacking key information, including what stage of endo, what treatment was used (I.e. ablation vs. Extraction), and clear photos. After getting my mirena replaced during surgery, I began getting period symptoms every 2 weeks and when I made this known to Dr. Tan, she wanted to continue increasing hormonal birth control and was not interested in looking into the cause of the change in my cycle. I had no pain relief from surgery and just had my second surgery (this time eith an extraction specialist) within 12 months. My current surgeon found a lot of endo and said that a lot of tissue was left behind. Please do you research and invest in an extraction specialist who knows to remove endo that doesn't always look obviously suspicious, as it takes many forms."
"I've read some bad reviews here but I have to say I was fortunate to get Dr Amanda Beech as my doctor. She is amazing. Attentive, goes above and beyond and willing to think outside the square. In addition, the reception staff are just beautiful to deal with. I've been seeing a cardiology practice recently and the difference in the way the staff treat patients compared to WHRIA is incredible. Thank you for making my experience a good one."
"I've been visiting the Kogarah based practice this year and it's amazing! The staff are so lovely to deal with. Professor John Eden has been the most understanding specialist I have ever met. He believed all of my symptoms and agreed that what I was experiencing was related to my hormones (I mentioned this to a neurologist who brushed it off). He was actually surprised that the neurologist who I saw didn't refer me to him. I'm diagnosed with PCOS and vestibular migraines. Professor Eden has given me hope that I will be able to control my vestibular migraines which is great news to hear after not being taken seriously for so long. I did also mention about some other minor issues I've been having with PCOS and he was able to offer solutions from looking at my bloodwork that others were not able to do. I highly recommend Professor Eden if you suspect you may have hormone problems."
