"FYI international students and Australian students! I left school after completing the second semester in 2018 with 3 subjects left to complete the degree. Now I requested to be back and complete my degree with an offer to do 8 subjects instead of 3 that I owed to get the same title degree in hospitality simply because of their policy. MAKE SURE YOU THINK ABOUT THIS BEFORE CHOOSING THIS SCHOOL. THEY'RE VERY GOOD AT MAKING MONEY FROM STUDENTS."
"Some teachers are very racist. Whe I was giving my presentation, I had bit of stutter, due to some language barrier. Yes, I do speak 3 completely different language. Teacher asked me if I would like to do my presentation in Japanese. In front of class. Yes, I'm Japanese. Could the teacher speak Japanese? Would the teacher knew 30,000+ Japanese characters? (I don't think so) Did he think it was funny to comment in front of everyone? Well, this incident was some years ago. But if this happen today, I will surely contacting "60 minutes" for interview. Anyhow, I now work at major Melb hospital as healthcare professional, I will discourage anyone thinking to go to WAI..."
"I won't forget the teacher who taught chocolate, she was extremely poc .... On the assessment day, she couldn't not let me while she was doing her things. So I just had to wait till she finished, and what happened is my chocolate some part started to break, and she blamed me I did not do it well... Hello? You made me wait half an hour! So ? My fault? Not only her, teacher Kath***** there were more like her.... just a few good teachers could really help."
"I have had a positive learning experience so far. The lecturers are friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their subjects. I have not encountered racism or hate speech during my time here, which is great. The facility is small compared to other educational providers, but it still has everything you need. One thing bothering me is the international office and information center staff-very unhelpful and lack customer service skills. This can be frustrating when you're trying to get help with something important. Other than that, I am happy with the education I am receiving and I would recommend William Angliss Institute as a good choice for tourism, culinary and hospitality education. The courses are well-structured and provide a good balance of theory and practical experience. The institute also has strong industry connections which can be helpful when looking for work after graduation."
