Our establishment is a point of interest that celebrates the emotive ability of color to uplift the spirit and bring joy. Nestled in the bush, our studio is surrounded by a myriad of natural inspiration, from fabulous curves to craggy textures, all adorned with divine colors that transcend across various mediums.

At Red Door Studio, we pride ourselves on combining traditional and contemporary perspectives as artists. We believe in the beauty of blending old and new, contrasting elements, and creating beautiful forms. Our eclectic palette brings together a mix of influences and experiences, resulting in unique and captivating artwork.

With over 25 years of dedicated learning and exploration, we have developed various techniques and approaches to bring our creative ideas to life. We believe that art should be a reflection of what brings us joy and makes us feel good. Our passion for art was ignited during our transient upbringing, attending eleven different schools and being exposed to diverse experiences and cultures. This constant change fueled our sense of creativity, leading us to pursue art education at Taroona High School.

The journey of our artistic development continued as we delved into different mediums and techniques. From crafting furniture in woodwork class to exploring life drawing and sculpture, we constantly sought opportunities to expand our skills. Discovering the medium of glass was a turning point for us, as we found a soulful connection to its translucent and transparent qualities. We established Red Door Studio, focusing on warm glass, and nurtured a community-friendly environment where knowledge was shared and absorbed.

In addition to our glasswork, we also express our creativity through painting. Working with oils and watercolors, we find a harmony between these mediums and glass, as they share similar translucent qualities and the ability to build depth layer by layer. Our daily practice involves seamlessly moving between glass and painting, juggling multiple projects and allowing our artistic expression to flow.

Our artwork has been widely exhibited, including prestigious galleries such as Montsalvat Gallery, Eltham Community Library, The Light Factory, Convent Gallery Daylesford, Seaview Glass Gallery Queenscliff, and Gallery 765. We have been recognized for our talent, with our Archibald entry being selected by Victoria's Salon de Refuse and our watercolor design chosen as the winning logo for the Eltham Art Show. We are proud to have received the People's Choice Award for our entry of "The Drum" and to have our works depicting Kangaroo Ground, Edendale Farm, and the Aqueduct Trail acquired by the council for their illustrious collection.
