She's absolutely thriving and loving going to school. It's such a beautiful community, all the teachers know all the students making them feel at ease. Would highly recommend!!"

"I love this school. I’ve had one child through and another still going. This is a school where the community matters. It’s a gathering place for children and parents alike. Former students want to return to visit. You can collaborate directly with teachers on your child’s needs and the standard of teaching is high. Everyone feels very welcome here. As parents we now have lifelong friends for ourselves and our children. When parents have so much anxiety about making the “right” choice to avoid risk of change and disruption, this has been a welcome experience."

"The community at Selby Primary is truly wonderful. Parents talk so openly and inclusively at pick up and drop offs and this culture is very unique I'm told. There is so much community support when families are struggling, plus chances to gather and celebrate. The school continues to work on greater cultural awareness, acknowledgement of First Nations people and shared history. We will have three children next year and feel fortunate to have found a small, authentic school that is open to constant learning and has a strong belief in student voices. The student led assemblies are very special."

"A great little school with a huge community feel. We were warmly welcomed after changing from another school 3.5 years ago. Our eldest was supported to get back on track with her spelling and writing as she was 1.5 years behind when we arrived. The new principal is lovely and very approachable."

"We started at the school after a few friends had transferred their kids here from different schools saying how much they loved the community and environment at Selby. We have been very happy with the experience so far. As past school teacher it was very clear that the school has committed teachers who actually care about going the extra step in creating great experiences for the children. We absolutely love it. The kids all get a long and the vibe amongst the parents is also really great. I know this is strange to say but if you can literally park your car (heaps of space) get out and and hang out for an extra hour after school with your kids it really fosters community as there are so many other families who do this also."
