"I had the most terrible experience when briefly visiting this store with my toddler...what happened in the shop left me surprised, offended, and upset. My child was looking at pictures in a cookbook ( NOT a fragile glassware, or a fragile statue, painting etc.). Few seconds later, I heard someone YELLING at us, and to be clearer, at my toddler. Quite shocked, had a look around to see who is the person. That was the salesperson, standing behind the cashier desk, staring at us, asking the child in a loud voice to not touch the book. My toddler didn't get it. I had to explain to the kid about what had just happened and that we had to leave. He was quite confused, probs due to lack of experience (!) . While I was leaving the store in rush, he took the book and ran after me asking if I could buy it for him. What a situation! Before I could take any action, the salesperson, still standing at the desk, AGAIN raised their voice, AGAIN yelled at us, and asked IF WE CAN PUT THE BOOK BACK ON THE SHELF. It was an awkward moment, with everyone in the store quitely looking at the shouting salesperson. I had to explain to them how young the child is, and that I was doing my best to make the kid understand that he shouldn't be touching the book. Anyway. The salesperson demonstrated a very rude, disrespectful behaviour towards a child. Next time I visit the area, I will make sure I ask for the store manager/owners details and talk to them in person about the inappropriate behaviour."

"Welcoming, friendly is just the start of your Experience in this beautiful eclectic fashion & homeware store. My girlfriend & I had a long Weekend in Barwon Heads & came across Moss as we walked the high street, we loved the unique clothing that we don’t see on the peninsula. It was a very relaxing experience. We revisited the next day & found some new items. Fantastic"

"The shop has some nice items, would have liked to have spent some more time looking around at. The reason why I didn't spend much time looking around is that I was made to feel unwelcome, the shop assistant was talking to a friend and it felt like I was interrupting them by entering the store. Shop assistant spoke to me in a condescending tone which made me feel uncomfortable. The conversation the shop assistant was having with their friend was not really a conversation to have while representing the MOSS GROTTO brand (talking ill about people they know, it was very easy to overhear). Wanted to support local businesses in these times, but left soon after entering as it was an uncomfortable environment. Two stars given only because the decor was aesthetically pleasing."
