Our teaching and learning practices are evidence-based, with an emphasis on meeting the individual needs of our students. Our classrooms showcase explicit, targeted teaching in small groups, where teachers clearly explain and model key skills. We do not expect children to infer these skills solely through exposure. To enhance reading and writing skills, we have recently implemented Multisensory Structured Language education in Prep and Year 1, as well as Spelling Mastery in Year 2 to Year 6. These well-researched approaches assist students in various aspects of literacy, such as letter sounds, word decoding, fluency, accuracy, and comprehension.
