About the Business
Welcome to Springside Primary School, located at 22/50 Becca Way in Caroline Springs, Australia. Our institution is a highly regarded establishment and a point of interest in the community.
At Springside Primary School, we offer a wide range of programs and facilities to support the holistic development of our students. One of our standout programs is the Spade and Spoon Program, where our Food Tech Room is utilized to teach cooking skills using produce grown in our School Garden. This not only promotes healthy eating habits but also instills valuable life skills in our students. Additionally, our School Garden is maintained by our students and we hold Spade and Spoon Markets twice a term, benefiting our entire community.
To foster a strong foundation in science and technology, we provide a dedicated Science Lab for practical experiments and a separate Robotics Lab for S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) classes. These state-of-the-art facilities enable our students to explore and excel in these fields.
Our school also boasts impressive sports facilities, including a full-size soccer field, a small soccer field, a full-sized indoor basketball/netball court, two full-size outdoor basketball courts, countless down ball courts, and two large playgrounds. These amenities, along with our sensory garden and ample shade access outdoors, encourage physical activity and outdoor play.
We prioritize inclusivity and provide an Inclusion Hub, open during both lunch and recess breaks, offering a safe and structured space for all students to learn pro-social behaviors. This initiative ensures that every student feels supported and included in our school community.
At Springside Primary School, we are committed to providing exceptional education for students with disabilities. We follow the evidence-based Team Around the Learner model and offer NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) access at school. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment that enables every student to thrive and reach their full potential.
As an eSmart accredited school, we take technology and cyberbullying seriously. "I have two friends of mine who have mids that go there, and there is insane bullying.Staff are decent but children are violent and toxic, especially online.Students are posting themselves online with uniform."
"I have two friends who came out great from there. I have another friend who was getting seriously bullied and I don't think that is ok. I don't believe you would like that from your students. I would hope that your staff is doing something about this."
"We have been part of the Springside Community for about 3 years now. I have worked with a few schools in the area, and I chose to move my son to this school in grade 3, due to the amazing support and programs they have in place. The school is so inclusive of all children and families. They work with the families to ensure their child is supported in every way needed, including extra help or extension. The facilities are great - science lab and food tech room are a great asset that many primary schools do not have. The teachers and leadership team are easy to communicate with and approachable. Any issues that arise are dealt with quickly. Can’t recommend this school enough!"
"The lady who is sitting in the reception is the most bad thing happened for this school. Her name is Maryanne. She is never be nice with any one coming through the reception never smile or welcome anyone (everyone knows reception employee should be nice or even pretend that). Even with the kids she looks like very frustrated when they ask for something and when she deals with them in the sickbay kids wish not to find her there. The only mistake of springside primary school is having this lady in the reception area because this is where the school deals with parents and guardians and this lady dealing very bad with the public."
"This school is the best the principal is very nice and caring the office ladies are very special the teachers are extremely friendly and accepting. While the school nurse is very caring the best school I have ever been too. I regret moving to brookside but SPRINGSIDE is my real school and I would accept it forever. This school is very protective and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who is planning to move their"
