Welcome to Diamond Creek Memorial Kindergarten, a not-for-profit community-based institution that has been serving families in the local community since 1965. Located at 11 Collins Street in Diamond Creek, Australia, our kindergarten offers curriculum for 3-year-old and preschool-aged children, as well as an extended hours care program.

As an incorporated association, we adhere to our constitution and operate under the National Quality Framework for Australia. This includes following the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Standards, Early Years Learning and Development Framework for Australia (EYLF), and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework: Birth to 8 years (VEYLDF). We are proud to announce that our current assessment and rating level is Exceeding National Quality Standard as of August 6, 2021.

We strongly believe that children learn best through play, and our kindergarten provides several different areas of play in each of our groups.

In our outdoor spaces, the Toddler and Preschool Groups have their own garden where children and teachers collaborate to create beautiful and educational container/raised bed gardens. We understand the importance of physical activity in child development and addressing the issue of childhood obesity. Therefore, we provide extensive physical activities and outdoor play spaces, including a playground, forest, big field, raised gardens, and nature walks.

We also offer various creative activities to stimulate children's imaginations and foster their artistic abilities. From designing and creating puppets and collages to constructing musical instruments and flower bouquets, children are encouraged to explore their creativity through painting, gluing, and crafting.

Excursions play a vital role in a child's early education, providing them with diverse experiences and a broader understanding of the world around them. As part of our curriculum, we incorporate bush kindergarten, which allows children to learn about nature and develop life skills such as resilience, creativity, and problem-solving.
