"Been shopping here for years, but noticed many items are now priced to market values. I can see decent items are priced according to what they are worth in the open market. Don't ask to negotiate the sale price as I have been denied. It's a real shame as I want my money to go to a good cause but feel that the essence of Op Shopping is no longer the same. I am questioning who I donate my items if pricing of items are out of reach for those at these stores that really need them. The hunt for a bargain is now a myth at Op Shops."
"I come here fairly often to look around for some bargain clothes or miscellaneous items, every staff member I have met has been welcoming and friendly. Not a huge store but it has a nice variety of items."
"Four Stars to one star. Really disappointed with how I was spoken to the other day by an experienced, young, very confident staff member. Context: Had been browsing a while, ended up in the toy section, not surprising for a primary school teacher. Came across a lazer tag like set for $4. Was stoked finding such a gem that reminded me of my childhood. Took it up to the register, the young lady that was there looked for a while turning it over and then said that it would be $15. I was surprised, only seeing a $4 sticker on there and thus said, oh I saw it was four dollars on the other side, pointing to the only sticker I had seen (funnily enough the one pointing to the walkway, not the one facing to the wall behind it. She explained that she'd go and get her manager as she was new and this is what eventuated... Manager (As described above) was very rude, commenting about people putting other prices on items, which felt like an attack on me and my character. ((To be perfectly honest, if someone was so dishonest to do that, they'd probably take off the original price)). Not something I thought of at the time, otherwise I would have raised that point. Anyway, after a lengthy discussion with said manager. They then offered to meet me in between and give it to me for $10 or so. Really disappointing interaction as a whole. I very rarely give a one star review. But I really do hope that Salvos offers extra training and staff perhaps think of the good, with a bit more empathy rather than assuming everyone is trying to rip them off! Also ceramics are *now* priced MUCH more than I've found elsewhere! **Original review 11 months ago** "Staff as a whole seem pretty great :) pricing on clothes and manchester is super reasonable when it is certain coloured tags discounted each week, I've found ceramics and other basic homewares to be a bit pricier than the Mustard tree and Vinnies. Definitely still worth a look though.""
"It's ok. Regular salvo store prices which I consider too pricy. Getting a parking spot isn't good at all. The prices in this Salvo store is pricy and the selection of items wasn't at times worth the visit. Staff are friendly and polite."
"The new manager at this store has made the store look amazing. He has made changes that the store needed by extending ladies wear and moving kids wear to where kids/parents are more likely to buy. Merchandising with accessories/clothing in the front windows and throughout the sore have looked like they have been taken out of a David Jones/Myer store"
