Welcome to Lady Forster Kindergarten, a community-managed establishment located on the stunning Boonwurrung Country in Elwood, Australia. Situated along the picturesque Ormond Esplanade, our kindergarten offers both three and four-year-old sessional programs, as well as a four-year-old long day program.

At Lady Forster Kindergarten, we prioritize the health, safety, well-being, and empowerment of all our children. We are dedicated to implementing child safe practices and have a comprehensive Statement of Commitment to Child Safety, as well as a Child Safe Environment Policy, which you can read on our website.

Our kindergarten boasts spacious rooms and a large, natural outdoor play space where children can freely explore within clear boundaries. We also have a flourishing kitchen garden and a unique Beach Curriculum that extends children's learning experiences into the beach and bush environment surrounding the kindergarten. Adjacent to our facility is the Elwood PlaySpace, providing children with endless opportunities to connect with nature.

To ensure age-appropriate programs, we offer separate programs for three and four-year-olds. This allows us to tailor our curriculum to meet the developmental needs of each age group.

In addition to our regular programs, we also offer Holiday Programs at the end of Terms 1, 2, and 3. These programs are open to enrolled Lady Forster Kindergarten families and their older siblings.

Our dedicated Events Team, made up of volunteer parents, has organized various initiatives that embody the spirit of community. This year, we have focused on exploring First Nations culture, inviting indigenous presenters such as local Boonwurrung custodian, Jaeden Williams, to share their knowledge with our children.

We also celebrate 'Special Person's Day' in November, where our children have the opportunity to bring a loved one to the kindergarten and show them around.

At Lady Forster Kindergarten, we acknowledge and pay tribute to the Boonwurrung as the Traditional Owners of this land. We also extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, as well as the Elders past and present.
