For families interested in enrolling their children in our sessional kindergarten program, registration must be done through the Hobsons Bay City Council Kindergarten Central Registration portal. This system ensures fair and equitable access to community-managed kindergarten services in our municipality. Families can register for multiple services on one form, and it facilitates the placement of children into funded three- and four-year-old kindergarten places. However, please note that funded kindergarten places in long daycare are not included in this scheme.

In addition to our sessional kindergarten program, Emma Mclean Kindergarten and Daycare also offer long daycare services for three- and four-year-olds. Children who have a confirmed place in our sessional kindergarten program will be given priority to access additional days in our long daycare programs. However, please be aware that spaces are limited, and there is no guarantee of a place. We strongly encourage you to apply at other services if you require extra days of care in addition to your sessional kindergarten days.

Applications for extra days of care in our long daycare programs can be submitted after your child's first birthday and must be done before the 30th of June in the year prior to their eligible year of attendance. Please use the Waitlist Application link provided to apply for a long daycare place. As we receive more applications than available places, we kindly request that you also complete the 'Determine Position on the Waitlist' form and email it back to us at [email protected]. Please note that applications will not be considered if the determine position on the waitlist form is not received.
