"We signed up back in June last year, since then they’ve changed the monthly debit date without informing us. Our eldest daughter now needs urgent surgery (GP referral made in January this year) and was booked in for this Saturday but apparently there’s a 12 month waiting period even though the policy clearly states 2 months for non pre-existing conditions. We were told we need to have forms completed by both the referring GP and surgeon, then wait up to 5 days to be told whether we’d be covered. Surgery has now been cancelled for tomorrow but thanks to the lovely surgeon’s office staff they’ve managed to fit our daughter in next week as a public patient. We will be moving to another insurance company as the consultant my wife spoke to was rude and unhelpful with comments “well there’s two problems here”. Finally their app hardly ever works and are usually greeted with a “sorry it’s us not you” error message."

"Just had a call with them about quoting me for a health insurance that includes some procedure and hospital cover, the representative went on and on about lifetime health cover. What lifetime health cover was, if my previous cover had a hospital cover (we went in circles, again), how my age affects my cover (?) I am aware that these are necessary information but the representative just goes around in circles. And why do you say 2-0-1-8 instead of 2018?! Rep asking what year I was covered and he was saying the year as if it was a postcode. Had to end the call."
"I pay top cover and have had no issues. Customer service is good enough, and when I've called they've been located in Australia. The cover is good, the price is competitive. So far, so good. Will change this review accordingly as things progress."
"Almost worse than the privates. Downgraded my cover incorrectly because their portal is inefficient, didn't send correspondence about it and then made me wait for the waiting period when I realised. No understanding at all. For a fund meant to be caring for nurses and midwives, they certainly don't."
