Reviews
"Attended twice with bf. We both love their fried noodle dishes…especially the homemade noodles…tasted much better than those from packages. Staffs are friendly and helpful but the place seemed a bit short-handed. The environment is clean."
"We went to Preston to try somewhere else but got distracted by the guy in the window making noodles. Despite the relatively poor ratings, we decided to try this place instead. Ordered NS001 - Authentic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup. The serve would be like at least 1.5x larger than other places we’ve been. Broth was a little peppery but was tasty and with the chilli oil and a little soy, it was spot on. The noodles were springy and chewy and very good. Ordered SD0002 -Pan Fried Pork Dumplings. Not doughy but a little thick pastry made with some glutinous rice flour - if you like that sort of chewy texture, this is for you. The pork filling is a little tight, not juicy and slightly “porky” notes coming through. Portions were large, too much food for the two of us. Takeaway container - 50 cents. Self serve water, crockery and cutlery, no tea. Service was acceptable enough. Place was 3/4 full when we arrived."
"Used to come here very often 10 years ago but less so since I moved out of the area. It hasn’t changed a bit. Last time I came was at least 3 years ago, but the food recently was just as delicious as I remembered it. Thickness of noodles can be adjusted based on preference, I’m happy with the texture of “regular”. Loved the pumpkin cakes. Was late Sunday lunch and not particularly busy but they only had two staff on, who were nice even though service was slow. Unfortunately tables weren’t cleaned properly and the seating called for an upgrade."
"Place was very busy and the staff were quite friendly. Pork dumplings was cooked well but wasn’t the tastiest we’ve ever tried. The chilli chicken stir fry was amazingly tasty and you could tell that the pasta was freshly made. Dessert was good - banana fritters were cooked well and the fried ice cream was delicious. The pricing for food was decent and you got a massive serving for what you paid."
