"This place used to be good. Now has turned into robbery. Bought this frozen beancurd (the one for takeaway downstair). Used to be $13.5 in 2020. They increased price and put $19.5 at the freezer. It was expensive I thought to just buy one to take home. When made payment the girl asked for $21.5. I was like price on the freezer said $19.5. She shown me a sign in front of cashier written in chinese that said 10% charge on Sunday. That's insane, I was shocked I didn't think and should have put it back to the freezer. Literally I just let them rob me. So stupidly I paid her $21.5 in cash, careful if paid by card will incur another 2% so extra 10% charge on Sunday + extra 2% on card. Will never come back to this place again. Their price is insane!"
"Yum cha!!! My go to place for the best variety and traditional yum cha. Always have a great time here. Must admit by the time I leave I look forward to a nap from food coma lol. A great place to go to with friends or family. Highly recommend the congee, prawn and finer dumping and the chicken feet for those who are happy to spread their taste buds. Enjoy xxxxx"
"We came here for Yum Cha on a whim. The Dim Sum choices consisted of the usual favourites, cruising by on trolleys pushed by various ladies introducing their offerings. The skin on the steamed dumplings was a bit thicker than I'm used to, but the fillings were also generous due to the family-sized portions. Bigger dumplings meant less room in the belly to try more dishes. Flavours were decent but not what I would call delicate or remarkable. Gold Leaf is a bit of an institution here in Preston and continues to draw the crowds. The cavernous space stretched for as far as the eye can see. Service was better than the average Chinese restaurants. Overall, a satisfying visit but without a hook to be memorable."
"Gold Leaf Preston has its good and bad days, just like any other Gold Leaf establishment. We always go for yumcha or the lobster banquet which is seriously good value for money."
