Australia's Youth Self Defence Karate was established in 1994 by our founder and 6th Dan Black Belt, Matt Klein, also known as "Sensei Matt" to his students. He recognized the need for fun and affordable karate classes for kids in Sydney, Australia.

Our main focus is on building the self-esteem and self-confidence of our students. We specialize in teaching kids and teens, creating a positive, non-intimidating, and fun atmosphere in all our self-defence classes. Parents are welcome to stay and watch their child's progress – transparency is important to us.

Conveniently located throughout Sydney, our kids karate classes are held throughout the year in alignment with the school terms. At the end of each term, we hold a grading to celebrate the student's accomplishments and help them set achievable goals for the next term.
