About the Business
Welcome to St Andrew's Cathedral School, located at 474 Kent Street in Sydney, Australia. Our institution is a renowned establishment and a point of interest in the city, offering high-quality education for both primary and secondary school students.
At St Andrew's Cathedral School, we pride ourselves on providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated faculty members are committed to fostering a love for learning and helping students reach their full potential.
One of our exceptional students, Finnian, is making waves with his innovative approach to sustainability. As part of his Textiles Major Work, Finnian is growing his own fabric, including wheat fabric. He has also propagated mulberry bark lace from the Patonga area, which he skillfully incorporates into the waistline and collar of his creations. This commitment to sustainability and creativity exemplifies the forward-thinking mindset of our students.
We invite you to join us for two upcoming events. On 7 September 2023, at 6.30pm, and on 8 September, at 12.30pm and 6.30pm, we will be hosting an event in the Upper Chapter House of St Andrew's Cathedral School. This event will showcase the talents and achievements of our students, including Finnian's remarkable Textiles Major Work. It will be an opportunity to witness firsthand the incredible projects and dedication of our students.
As an institution, we acknowledge and respect the Gadigal People, who are the traditional custodians of the land on which our school stands. They are one of the 29 clans of the Eora Nation, which is bordered by the Hawkesbury River to the north, the Nepean River to the west, and the Georges River to the south. We pay our respects to the Elders, both past and present, as well as those emerging, as we continue to learn from and honor their rich cultural heritage.
At St Andrew's Cathedral School, we are committed to providing an exceptional educational experience that prepares our students for a successful future. We invite you to explore our website and discover more about our institution, our programs, and the opportunities available to our students. Join us in shaping the next generation of leaders and innovators at St Andrew's Cathedral School.

"I attended St Andrew’s between 2014 and 2017. Our family travelled a lot throughout my childhood making SACS my 9th school and by far my favourite. St Andrew’s has an incredible support network of teachers and staff. The schools devotion to the arts are second to none as they prioritise creative subjects with the same high standards of the more academic. My support from the school didn’t end after I graduated. SACS became a workplace that supported me through my university education, with amazing support and flexibility from colleagues. I’m currently working in my chosen job, in my dream field, with no doubt that SACS laid the foundation."
"My daughter had a wonderful experience at this great inner city private school! Her time there was both enriching and positive. The school provided her with an environment that allowed for growth and learning. We were impressed that the school offered both the IB Program and the HSC in the senior high school levels which provided options that would suit our daughters learning style. The city school culture saw her transition to university life seamlessly. She has maintained long lasting relationships from her time at St Andrews Cathedral School and is fast becoming a leader in her chosen field."
"In our experience SACS is a great school. The kids are happy, which is all you can ask for. The school is very supportive of all kids, and it’s great to see both sport and music being actively encouraged by the school. We are very happy we found this school for our kids."
"I have two boys at sacs (yr 11 and 8) and we are very happy here. The teachers truly care - they live their Christianity rather than just talking about it like some schools. The co-curricular opportunities are great, academically they hit the sweet spot, and the music department - well, you only need to go to one of their annual showcase performances to see the incrible dedication and talent there. I recommend SACS to anyone looking for a school that will care about your child as an individual and partner with you to help them learn, grow and thrive."
"I brought both of my girls across from a similar private school, one to Year 6 and one to Year 7. They are now in Year 8 and 9. Both girls have flourished at the school for completely different reasons and are very happy there. For my Year 8 daughter who started in Year 6 she was extended by the Junior School and it was like someone switched on a light and she completely changed as a learner. Very impressed with both Junior School and Middle School. A great community to be a part of!"
