"The instructors are experts in their field (survival swim/transitional and stroke) The program is designed in a way the kids gradually gain water awareness and feel confident and happy. Shout-out to Rhian for making wonderful work with my kids that are deep diving like mermaids and doing freestyle swimming already"
"The KASS swim lessons have been a game changer for our family and should be compulsory for all little ones in Australia. Our daughter started survival lessons at 2yrs old with RiRi (Rhian) and then transition lessons with Kiara. Now, after only a few months of lessons, her capabilities match her confidence in the water. These lessons really do save lives. Thanks guys!"
"Everyone should have their child complete the Swim Survival Program at KASS, it is the best thing that you can do for both your child and yourself. Both my kids have loved swimming at KASS , the teachers are amazing and the skills they learn last a life time."
"This program is safe and effective but most importantly, saves lives. Both my children completed the survival and learn to swim program with Kids Aquatic Survival School. I enrolled my 3.5 year old after years of traditional lessons left her with very little skill whereby she was regressing and not letting go of the instructor in the water and would only use a floatation aid. She fell off a submerged step in a group lesson when the instructor took the 3rd child out for their swim. She reached for a toy, fell, began to vertically tread water and sink. She panicked and could not navigate herself back to the step or safety. Thankfully the instructor swept her back up in time but it was enough for me to make a change. I enrolled both my 3.5yo and 2yo with KASS the next day and within 20 lessons my 3.5yo was swimming across 2 lanes and rolling over to float should she need to breathe. She loved the water more than ever because she understood she had the skills, which developed her confidence. My 2yo boy took 40 lessons and should he ever get out of his depth he instinctively rolls onto his back and does a starfish float. It was amazing to see him develop skills at an age when he was most at risk. He retained and applied these survival skills almost 12 months post completion when we were holidaying on a remote island in Fiji. He was in “supervised” kids club, escaped and fell into the pool fully clothed at night. An older kid saw him and when we found him minutes later he was calmly floating on his back. I know, had he not completed this program the end result would be completely different. I’m a vigilant parent but accidents happen and a child can drown in under 30 seconds in less than 5cm of water. It’s a skill they can and do learn. It is safe and effective. It gives the child a realistic understanding of their capabilities in and around water. Drowning is unforgiving and even the nonfatal can result in severe brain damage and life long disabilities. I wish I had enrolled my kids sooner and not wasted time and money on nursery rhyme association, which in fact encourages kids to have confidence with no skill, which is a dangerous combination."
"A great school. I heard about this school through my friend who's son climbed through a dog door and fell into a spa while she was working at a client's house. She found her son floating in the spa and thankfully got to him just in time. The next day she called KASS and enrolled her son. She also started training to become an instructor herself. She spoke so highly of the program that I decided to become an instructor too. I put my own son through the program at 10 months. I love my job and the KASS team. The journey of each child is so unique and rewarding and I really enjoy explaining to parents what their child is experiencing throughout the process."
