About the Business
Welcome to St Michael's Catholic Primary School in Daceyville, Australia. Our school is nestled in a peaceful parkland setting, providing a nurturing environment and strong community connection for all students. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to be a primary school that focuses on success for every child.
At St Michael's, our dedicated teachers work in partnership with parents to support students as they grow and develop according to their individual gifts and talents. We believe in empowering deep thinking, igniting creativity, and fostering every learner's imagination through diverse programs and learning experiences.
In addition to academic excellence, we have a strong focus on wellbeing and Catholic values. Our goal is to prepare children for a hopeful and sustainable future, equipping them with the necessary skills and values to thrive in the modern world.
We invite you to explore our vibrant and contemporary Catholic learning community through our website. If you'd like to experience our school in person, please email us at [email protected] or call (02) 9344 8512 to book a learning walk throughout the year.
Located in a peaceful parkland, we welcome enrolments from families working in local institutions such as UNSW, Prince of Wales Hospital, Westfield Eastgardens, and Sydney Airport. Our commitment is to promote the good in every child and support their development as a whole person, intellectually, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.
At St Michael's, we prioritize pastoral care and building relationships across the community. We strive to help our students communicate openly, solve problems, and become more resilient individuals.
Excitingly, St Michael's is on the cusp of a new era as we expand into a double stream school. This development includes architecturally designed learning spaces that are ready to prepare your child for the future.
With a rich history dating back to 1914, our school was staffed by the daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. In 1924, we joined the newly formed St Michael's Daceyville Parish, and in 1939, a new school was constructed, forming the foundation of our main building today. From 1992, the Marist Brothers took over the leadership of the school, instilling in us the love of Mary as a role model. Since 2006, the lay leadership of the school has been appointed by Sydney Catholic Schools.
At St Michael's, we continue the ministry of Jesus through the charism and traditions given to us by the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. Our community draws inspiration from Father Jules Chevalier's vision to make the Sacred Heart of Jesus known and loved everywhere. Touching the heart of others is at the core of our school community.
Our vision is to nurture curiosity, ignite imagination, and empower innovation for a sustainable and hope-filled future by knowing, loving, and following Jesus.
As part of our mission, we are committed to making Jesus known and loved through our rich history and the contributions of the OLSH Sisters and Marist Brothers. We work closely with our parish to enrich the spiritual life of our students, staff, and families. Through sacramental programs and various community events, we provide opportunities for students to develop their sense of belonging and deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith.
We invite you to join us for Mass at our parish, where our parish priest, Rev. Fr Phan Nguyen, regularly visits our classes and holds Reconciliation. Together with the parish, we support students and their families in their faith journey.
Once again, welcome to St Michael's Catholic Primary School Daceyville. We are excited to embark on this educational journey with you and your child, fostering their growth and preparing them for a bright future.

"A wonderful school with both lovely teachers and students. Students are respectable. Most teachers are very swaggy! Although this school should invite old students back as I know high schoolers would miss this place dearly!!"
