Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School has a rich history that dates back to 1907 when it was established by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. The school was initially staffed by the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, who came to Kensington in 1894. While the first lay principal took leadership of the school in 2002, we continue to carry on the charism and traditions given to us by the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart.
Our vision at Our Lady of the Rosary is to strive for excellence in education within a vital Christian community. We aim to create an environment where all students will encounter Jesus and where life is cherished and celebrated. As people of the heart, we hold dear the words of Jesus, "I have come that you may have life and have it to the full" (John 10:10).
Our school is also part of the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School parish, which is under the care of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. Our parish priest, Fr Terry Bowman, works closely with our principal and teachers to support the faith development of our students and families. We offer baptisms on the first Sunday of each month at 11:00am, with bookings required.
Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School is proud to be part of the Sydney Catholic Schools system, which consists of over 150 low-fee Catholic schools in the Sydney Archdiocese. We are thriving Catholic communities that ignite a love of Christ through excellent teaching and learning, empowering students to reach their full potential.
We acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional custodians of the land on which our school stands. We recognize and honor the Elders, both past and present.

"Education wasn't horrible but the teachers and old principal were highkey bad. Idk how it is now but I remember a time these girls planned to hold me against a pole and threaten me with a plastic knife and when they were sent to the office my parents weren't even told about it they did nothing about bullying. other than that it's an alright school"
"Education was fine, some teachers are so rude and they don't care what you say or how hard you try they'll just pick favourites. My year 6 teacher was probably the best teacher that wasn't a casual teacher. Most casuals were great like one casual , best one ever so glad she got to teach me and my friends before she left, never picked favourites, let us listen to music {which is a privilege considering its a catholic school} even bought back snacks when she came back from Korea. New principle is ok. Year 5 & Year 6 probably only good years. Only thing really good is the school trips and the camp in year 6 + other end of the year stuff for year 6. You also get WAY more opportunities in Year 5 & Year 6. Anyways the school is fine"
"Love this school as my home"
"Worst school ever. Very mean teachers. Bullying here is bad. They don't care about it.They don't even have a canteen! Education was alright. I was put in a cage here as a child. I would not recommend sending your children here. Atrocious school!"
