As part of the NSW public education system, Lakemba Public School actively participates in Education Week, an annual celebration that highlights the achievements of our dedicated teachers, exceptional students, and the overall success of our schools. It is a time when we come together to recognize and appreciate the efforts that contribute to the outstanding education provided by our institution.
We value the feedback and input of parents and carers, and that is why the Department of Education has shared a draft plan for NSW public education. We invite you to share your valuable feedback and contribute to shaping the future of education in our community. Your thoughts and opinions matter, and together we can create an even better learning environment for our students.
As an institution, we also recognize the significance of the traditional custodians of the land on which we operate. We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, acknowledging their deep connection to the land and their ongoing contributions to our society. We also extend our respect to the Elders, both past and present, for their wisdom and guidance.

"An excellent school! Came here as a year 6 student in 2020, and it is hands down the best school I have ever been to. The education is average, but it still follows national curriculum. The thing is, the community is great. There are a few boomer and karens posing as teachers, but other teachers are really nice. There are 3 basketball hoops in the school, only 2 are used very much. Both are quite degraded, but many of the students use them and they work fine. They even increase our skill since we have to be better to get our shots in. I made some great friends here who can accomplish great things. For sports we have a company called 'Sports in Schools Australia' (SISA) that comes to our school and sets up different activities for students to do, every fortnight for about 2 hours (a full period). This school is diverse, but the majority of students are Lebanese, Bengali or Burmese since this is Lakemba, which is home to many immigrants. Would definitely recommend this school, but it would be best to do extra-education outside of school because only basic things are taught here. 2023 EDIT: My little sister goes to this school now, and as the previous DUX I can say that this school has gone to the dogs. I hear a lot from her about kids being really bad, saying swear words, etc. I know a lot of pretty unbehaved kids who haven't learn much manners from their parents. I would recommend a private school over this 10/10"
"Best school. Great teachers. My son studied here for 2 years and he loved it so much. Thanks lakemba public school."
"Been a while since I went here but the teachers were lovely (the vice principal was a hardass but you win some, you lose some) I'm sure they've changed a lot but the kids were pretty racist in my time, especially against kids with darker skin, but you know. Minorities gonna face that everywhere."
"Such a good school! Has so many activities and fun things going on. The environment is fun, enjoyable and safe. Teachers are friendly and the canteen is also great. All in all, a fantastic school! :)"
