As a leading institution in maritime education and training, Sydney Maritime Institute has over two decades of experience in the field. While we were formerly known as Club Sail & Trading as Superyacht Crew Academy, we shifted our focus to commercial courses in 2015. Our mission is to provide you with the skills and expertise needed to excel in the maritime industry.

Our range of courses cater to various roles in the industry, including becoming a captain of Australian registered commercial vessels less than 24m or 12m within Australia's Exclusive Economic Zone (200nm offshore). We also offer training for individuals looking to work as chief engineers or second engineers on vessels with inboard engines with propulsion power up to 750 kilowatts within the EEZ.
