At Opengate Institute, we are proud to be Australia's only Registered Training Organisation (RTO) accredited to deliver the nationally recognized course 10757NAT Graduate Certificate in Sandtray Therapy. Our graduates go on to work in various areas such as disabilities, NDIS, Indigenous children, early childhood, private practice, and government or private institutions.

Leading our team is Fiona, one of Australia's leading clinical Sandtray Therapists and Professional Trainers. With a contagious passion for Sand Therapies, Fiona specializes in trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and self-deprivation. She has extensive experience working with children and adolescents and now focuses on helping adults gain a new perspective on life through sandplay therapy. Fiona has also authored two books, "A Parents Guide to Psychological Well-being for Children" and "A Therapists & Teachers Guide to Psychological Wellbeing for the Inner Child" (Volume 2).

We offer a range of courses and programs to suit different needs and interests. Our classroom-based courses provide individuals with the skills and knowledge to apply Sandtray therapy in psychotherapy, counseling, and education. The blended courses allow individuals to become qualified Sandtray Therapists and join the growing village of graduates working in various sectors. We also offer personal development courses that explore the use of symbols in sandplay for non-verbal storytelling.

In addition to our courses, we are proud to offer the Terry McBride Scholarship program in honor of Terence McBride, a prominent Sydney Jungian and founding member of the Sydney Jungian Society. This program is supported by the generous donation of his Sandplay collection to Opengate Institute.
