"This is a lengthy review but if you are considering buying from Delphi please have a read and consider the below. When I had my consult with Joakim, he was very confident in finishing my engagement ring in time for my holiday which was taken upon about 6 weeks before our planned trip. My stress really began two weeks before we flew out, I still had no update, so I reached out to him to see where he was at. Each time I called him, he would never pick up and would also reply saying "SMS you later". Eventually my update from him was, "waiting for arrival of stone should have it ready by next week". After a week, I still hadn’t received an update, so I decided to call him again. As usual, he didn't pick up, only texted me "update you later today". When he finally did call me, he asked for the rest of the payment so he could pay for the stone. At this point, I was flying out in a week’s time and he still hadn’t made any progress on the ring but I’ve also already paid in full. Moving on from this day, I anxiously called him every single day for an update and still he never picked up the phone. Instead, he continued to send text responses, for instance things like, "update you later today", “I'll see how the ring is doing this afternoon" or "I'm not sure where the workers are up to, I'll report back". Sometimes he would not even respond for a few days. One day he even said, "You are just one of many jobs that we are behind on", which I do understand but with consideration that it felt like he was avoiding me, it just made me feel even more frustrated and uneasy. I grew really, really frustrated at this point especially since my plan was to propose while on our holiday, to really commemorate this special moment and milestone. The day before I flew, it was confirmed the ring was not going to be completed in time but instead would apparently be finished whilst we were still overseas. On that specified date, I called him for reassurance and peace of mind only to find that it was still not done. Consequently, we arranged it to be ready for pick up on the following Wednesday that we would return from overseas. To my disappointment I never received an update when I came back but still I confirmed with him that I would be dropping by as planned. Once again to my disappointment, I finally did receive a phone call from him around lunch time (approx. 3hrs until the planned pick-up time) only for him to tell me yet again that the ring would not be ready. Instead, I finally received my first and actual update which was just a video of the ring with no diamonds, just the structure. I reached out again the next day and again he said it wasn’t done also adding in his response, "You've waited this long, just let me take my time and finish it". It wasn't until the next day, on Friday that I finally picked up my ring. The pick-up then felt really rushed, probably a 5-10min encounter in total. I wanted to discuss the possibility of some sort of compensation for not receiving the ring in time. He didn't even let me speak but rather spoke over me and even dismissed me abruptly saying, "Go propose, see if it fits and talk later" then proceeded to walk me out. He did mention that he could “throw in” some wedding bands however I declined and emphasised that I would not even think to come back for his services due to my experience already with trying to get the engagement ring. Until this day (24 days later), he is yet to call in regards to having a talk about compensation. And even more frustrating is that even STILL his reply to me when I attempt to reach out is "call you later." ? In the end, the ring does look really great and my fiancé is very happy with it however my overall experience was extremely stressful. His updates were not helpful, and his lack of communication made him very unreliable and of course caused further frustration. I do not recommend this jeweller based on my recent experience because I really do not wish the same experience for other partners out there who are trying to make a very memorable occasion special."
