"Couldn't recommend a better school in the area! Highly passionate staff, dedicated to all the kids in their care, problems are heard and dealt with promptly. My children are very happy."
"Does everyone in the neighbourhood have to constantly hear the lady over the PA give instructions to the students? For people that have sensory issues to noise this is extremely frustrating. A change from the dynamite song would also be super lovely."
"Although I thought that some things at this school were good, there are many negatives that stop me from giving this a very good rating. I did enjoy a lot of things at this school, especially from years 4 - 6. The school pits a big emphasis on reading and comprehension, which I thought was very beneficial. First of all, whole grade or whole class punishments are a terrible way of getting students to behave. They don’t work. All they do is teach good kids that their efforts and good behaviours aren’t appreciated. That there is no reason be behave well because you’ll be punished regardless. I noticed that such punishments only occurred with certain teachers (usually the more strict ones). Many teachers are very bias/have favourites toward certain students (especially girls). Some students go highly unnoticed for their outstanding efforts, which is honestly disappointing. However, the playground is actually well equipped. Recess/Lunch times were very fun, with there being a large variety of things to do, from handball to basketball, soccer, etc. There are many school events, such as fetes and excursions which allow students to interact with their peers and enhance their school experience. Students go to masses every few weeks, which is highly beneficial for their spiritual development. Even though subjects like English and Religion are very well-taught, I can't say mostly the same for maths. Many un-essential strategies are taught in maths, which limit students from learning to their fullest potential. This happens especially in the older years. There are also many bullies at this school, and most of the time they do not actually get into trouble for it, which has an extremely negative impact on a student's mental health. I'll leave it there."
"Looking back on this primary school, it was decently fun. There was many fun excursions in which students could socialise with each other while learning or enjoying an activity. This primary school sent us to church every 1-2 weeks for a mass. The last great activities was the fete, in which they raised funds while providing entertainment and a Christmas concert, in which the entire school would sing songs. The bad parts however were the learning. At most times, the teachers were more biased towards the girls (seriously, the boys got worse punishments for the same things) and there was little time to prepare for assessments as they were (in my experience) randomly given in every 4-5 lessons. Although learning was okay, I liked how there was many activities for the entire school to interact with each other and have fun. For a good time, I would recommend this school however prepare your child to perform well academically."
"really bad school. do not recommend."
