Welcome to St. Andrew's Kindergarten, located at 40 Bay Road, Abbotsford, Australia. At our institution, we believe that every child is an active participant in their world, bringing knowledge and experience to their learning environment. Our goal is to build strong and reciprocal relationships with each child and their family, creating an open learning environment where they feel free to be themselves and reach their full potential.

Our philosophy is centered around ensuring that every child develops an intrinsic value for learning as a lifelong experience. We recognize that each child has unique strengths and interests that drive their learning. As experienced educators in a play-based learning preschool, we use these strengths and interests to engage children in the learning environment and introduce new stimuli and information to expand their interests, skills, and confidence.

We provide small and large group activities that allow our educators to extend all children through discussions, music and movement, visuals, drama, group games, social skills, cooking, gardening, numeracy, and literacy throughout the year. We believe that preschool children are always listening and wondering, trying to figure out how their world works. This curiosity is the ideal time to develop dispositions for future learning.

We encourage children to be creative learners and take pride in the new skills, knowledge, and understandings they develop while at St. Andrew's Kindergarten. We believe in instilling these learning dispositions in our children, empowering them to confidently transition to their next learning environment.

We invite you to come and view our service from Monday to Thursday between 10 am and 12 noon. At St. Andrew's Kindergarten, we are passionate about education for sustainability. Our outdoor classroom is an essential teaching resource, featuring a native Indigenous garden, vegetable gardens, worm farms, compost bins, and a native Australian stingless beehive. Children actively participate in sustainable practices, developing an appreciation for caring for the environment.

Our program is made rich and diverse by our responsive and creative educators. We currently have 4 Early Childhood Teachers, 3 Diplomas, and 3 Certificate III educators. Each educator utilizes their individual strengths and interests to develop a program that caters to all children's abilities and interests, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for learning in a play-based environment.

We believe that incursions and excursions provide hands-on experiences that extend learning opportunities for all children. Our incursion and excursion experiences include Aunty Wendy, Centennial Park, Kym Beckton - Wildlife, Taronga Park Zoomobile, Rangers on the Run, Kindifarm - Mobile Animal Farm, Henny Penny Hatching Chickens, Swag Full of Instruments, Young Scientists, and many more.
