About the Business
Welcome to Gami Chicken & Beer, located at 235 Springvale Road in Glen Waverley, Australia. As an establishment, food, point of interest, and restaurant, we offer an unforgettable dining experience that combines the best of Korean cuisine with a lively atmosphere.
At Gami, we embrace the Korean tradition of 'chimaek', which involves enjoying cold beer, crispy chicken, and good company. It's a celebration of friendship and laughter, and it's at the heart and soul of our restaurant.
One of our standout dishes is our baked sweet-corn kernels, coated in creamy melted mozzarella cheese. It's a delightful combination of flavors that will leave you craving for more.
If you're a fan of spicy food, you must try our Tteok-bokki. This delicious dish features stir-fried rice cakes, fish cakes, vegetables, and noodles swimming in a Korean gourmet chili sauce. And for the cheese lovers, you can add a generous topping of mozzarella to take it to the next level.
Another crowd favorite among our loyal customers is the Gochu Mayo Chicken. Served on a bed of chili shoestring fries, this dish features half-and-half boneless chicken drizzled with red and white spicy mayo. It's topped with sliced onion and jalapenos, creating a tantalizing blend of flavors.
When it comes to our chicken, Gami is unrivaled. It has been consistently voted as the country's most delicious, earning a spot on every "best fried chicken" list in every city. The secret behind its superior crispiness, juiciness, and addictive taste lies in mama's authentic recipe, which includes a secret blend of 17 tasty herbs.
We take pride in sourcing our chicken from farms with RSPCA Approved certification, ensuring that it is ethically and responsibly raised.
Whether you're looking for a casual bite, a birthday celebration, a first date, or a Friday feast with friends, Gami Chicken & Beer is the perfect choice. Our welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly staff make it an ideal destination for any occasion.
Come and experience the magic of 'chimaek' at Gami Chicken & Beer. We promise that once you try our mouthwatering dishes, you'll be hooked.

"Little wait on the food but every dish we ordered was served very fresh and hot. Their sharing dishes are huge, recommended for a hungry couple, or at least a group of three as you'll definitely wanna order some more dishes. Nice Seafood pancakes."
"Good little place and always busy. They even have a little serving robot! Food is predictably good as with other Gami's and the staff are friendly. No complaints. My kids especially love their Corndue - let it heat up until it's not stringy first and the flavor improves!"
"gami chicken always hits the spot! if you are looking for ya classic korean fried chicken then you are in the right place the corndue was definitely a fun eat! think fried chicken and then dip it into hot stretchy cheese! these guys are situated outside in the new eating area, right next to the stairs! accessibility for those with disabilities is not an issue! the customer service was great! plenty of seating indoors as well as a few undercover outdoor areas (with heating, for those wintery nights)"
"Gami has always been great with service, during pandemic and post pandemic. Had Gami chicken twice for dinner this week, one over at Eastland on Wed , with complete different menu choices , and was so impressed n deliciously filled up with their generous portions of jucy thigh pieces in japchae as well as spicy chicken hotplate which comes with rice. Didn't expect we were served by one of the korean founders until I was looking up Gami on the Internet because thats how much we were loving the experience. We were so impressed with food n service, that when one of our friends organised an impromptu dinner, we immediately suggested Gami at Glen :D We had seafood pancake, corn cheese, teokbokkoi, boneless chicken with soy garlic sauce and honey mustard on the side, and everything was so well made n delicious. Fried chicken shocked me, the batter is so improved and delicious, even teokbokki which we had tried during the early pandemic season. Service has always been quality n lovely back then and now, now my friends whom we with today said they would now come back knowing what is offered besides thinking it is purely chicken n beer! Hehe glad I helped debunk the myth"
"Well, Gami never disappoints me. Always been a fan for a long time, I think way back when they opened their first Gami in Box Hill. Deep fried chicken cited with sweet chilli sauce, nothing can go wrong. This time, we ordered something different, Gami Fondue. Imagine, Deep fried wings plus stringy cheese, double the calories!!!! Personally I’m not a big fan but something to try if you never had Fondue plus deep fried chicken, then you can decide."
