"Dropped in for dinner while in the area. It's a proper sit down restaurant and table service was good with friendly staff. Food is up to standard and the dry curry lamb dish was the outstanding for me."
"We ordered Butter chicken, Lamb Vindaloo & Shahi Paneer dine in last night. Paneer was so burnt & dry. Lamb Vindaloo just tastes like normal curry with no flavour & some pieces of Lamb undercooked. When I tried to explain the waitress the paneer is burnt, she said that's how they deep fry them. In return they gave a me half serve of Shahi Paneer which I appreciate but from the same burnt lot. We have been regulars here from last 13 years. Never expected this kind of quality drop. Waiting staff are arrogant & doesn't seem to listen to the customers. And top of all this they charged us full with no refund. My dinner was ruined so I came back home & cooked my dinner and ate myself. My one star is for butter chicken which we really enjoyed with a family of four."
"My experience at Curry Guru was pleasant! The waiter was very accomodating and everything came out in a timely manner. They serve alcohol here to accompany your meal. The chicken tikka was so moist and tasty but my absolute favourite was the naan bread. Naan bread here is so cheap (only 2.50) and it’s huge. The bread is fresh, hot and squishy. The bread had to be my absolute favourite. The curry’s here aren’t heavy and full of spices compared to traditional places so I think it’s great for those who want to try curry for the first time or have sensitive palates. Give it a go!"
"I’m not someone who leaves bad reviews. Unfortunately I had such a terrible dinner from Curry Guru today that I had to bother myself to sign in and share my experience. Had ordered Aloo Gobhi, but I received Oil-Gobhi. The veggies were quite literally floating in oil, the curry felt stale and tasteless - quite bland, despite requesting for it to be medium-hot spicy. I had ordered Gulab Jamun as dessert, but it was broken and soggy in the sugar syrup when I opened the container (also tasted bad). I’m aware that restaurant food is usually oily, especially Indian cuisine. However, it’s disappointing to see such blatant disregard towards the quality of food that you are serving people to consume. A very unsatisfactory experience, especially when you have been starving!"
