"It's weird trying to rate this place as a local. This isn't the place you go for atmosphere, however if you want a high quality simulacrum of the experience and service you get at a Hong Kong Eatery. 5/5 for replicating the food and service. Scoring as a local, this place will be knocked back a star, as the setup and atmosphere is truly authentic and therefore will score badly in comparison to local aesthetic and expectations."
"Hidden Gem! Here has the best hong Kong style milk tea. (港式奶茶)Lots of choise of breakfast, lunch, and morning tea and afternoon tea special meals. Reasonable price with good food. I am happy with every meal I have had so far."
"This is a Hong Kong style cafe situated in Times Plaza on the outskirts of Hurstville. They have a car park downstairs but it's always quite full. I Ordered the classic baked pork chop and spaghetti. It did have a flavour but it was just mildly bland. I think the clientele here likes to have this sort of light taste rather than something strong as it reduces the perception that it is salty. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad. The environment was bland. It's more for a really basic casual meal. They accept wechat pay, Ali pay and cash... It appears they don't accept credit card... Luckily my parents were with me with cash."
"***Cash only. Does not accept VISA credit.*** There are a lot of restaurants in Hurstville, and Time Brasserie is a uniquely Hong Kong style of Chinese food. So there's the English/Continental influence apparent in all the dishes. There's an air of authenticity about the menu, with one side written entirely in Cantonese characters, so for a moment you might feel like you were in Hong Kong or even Macau (they had Portuguese versions of oriental meals) We had the Swiss chicken, the pork and black bean and the Portuguese chicken. The meals were hearty and flavoured with ideas you would not expect... Curry in one dish and cheese in another. The hot milk tea was welcome and un sweet. They made the mistake of claiming they only accept cash. This is untrue. A business the size of Time Brasserie can accept EFTPOS / Credit Card payments. They made the mistake of demanding 40 cents on top of the $65 for our main meal. I pay cash so Time Brasserie avoids paying tax and management insists on demanding that extra forty cents? And yes it's within their rights to demand the extra forty cents but this mistake results in this review. So what? I said to the server at the time the demand for 40 cents amounted to stinginess. I paid him the extra forty cents but then I left this review. The Master said, “If your conduct is determined solely by considerations of profit you will arouse great resentment." And get 3 star reviews that overshadow your otherwise excellent establishment. 40 cents. Was it worth it? There are a lot of restaurants in Hurstville, and Time Brasserie is but one."
"We’re regulars and have been here many times over the past few years. The food is consistently delicious and of great quality and portion /meal sizes. I think I’ve probably tried all of their menus, breakfast lunch and dinner! Perfect if you’re craving traditional Hong Kong style food. Although service has gone down slightly (sometimes they forget to bring us all our order), that’s ok as the waiters/waitresses are always courteous when we remind them. Baked Portuguese chicken rice; Fried fish and corn rice; Baked tomato pork chops rice; Macaroni and spam in tomato soup; Instant noodles with satay beef; Toast with scrambled eggs."
