"In response to owner's reply: the texture of my hair was great before setting foot in your salon and it was horrible when I left. Your hairdresser CONFIRMED SHE USED ANTI-RESIDUE SHAMPOO when I asked her. Writing that I shop around trying to get discounts is incredibly insulting. Your current hairdresser Sammi knows me for 3 years now as I've been getting haircuts with her in 3 different salons since 2019. Ask her how many times I asked for a discount and she'll tell you I never did it. At her previous salon, Milk & Honey, I'd pay around $40 for a haircut; at yours, it costs $90 cause it comes with a "free" wash. What a joke. Anyway, you are a terrible business owner and a lier. No need to say I'm not welcome as I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO YOUR SALON after my horrible experience and even less after your insulting reply. it makes clear that not only you're a terrible business owner but a horrible person too. I'm sorry for Sammi, such a nice girl working for such a nasty boss. I'm coming back to Camila K where they treat clients with respect. Last Saturday I got a haircut at TAO and accepted the wash that comes with the cut. My hair was washed twice with anti residue shampoo without my knowledge. I understand it was not on purpose, but it washed away the keratin treatment I do once a year at Camila K Hair & Beauty, in Sydney. I do it annually cause it's quite permanent. Now I'll have to do it again after only 3 months (another $350) because of the free wash. I let the owner of the salon know what happened and asked if they would give me a discount for the queratin treatment they offer, considering the situation. I understand it was an unfortunate situation and a small discount would make me less unsatisfied. I'd avoid another trip to Sydney too. Owner said "no discount cause the shampoo does not remove queratin treatments". Well, it did. First rule for anyone who gets this treatment is not washing the hair with anti residue shampoo (second is avoid salt water). They could have denied the discount and it would have been ok, but insisting that the shampoo does not remove queratin is unacceptable. I have been doing this treatment for more than 10 years once a year and I can barely comb my hair without it so YES the shampoo removed it despite the label or whatever saying it doesn't. Very disappointing. Hope they start informing future clients when using anti-residue shampoo so nobody else will have the same experience."

"I live within walking distance of Tao Hair Lounge, and decided to try them over 12 months ago as my then beautician had a salon adjacent to Tao, and highly recommended them. I have been delighted with them; owner Kate is an excellent hairdresser and business operator, staff are welcoming, friendly and professional, salon is modern, bright and airy and overlooks Terrigal Esplanade (in the main shopping centre) and beach . The salon is beautifully appointed and only uses quality products; and clients are treated to a delicious range of teas, coffees, nougat and biscuits. Clients are rarely kept waiting for long and at the time of reviewing, Covid regulations are in place and adhered to. Most importantly, the skills of staff is evident - the results speak for themselves. I've tried numerous hairdressers since I moved to the Central Coast nearly 7 years ago, and Tao is definitely the best. Love their work!"
