"I’m not that tech savvy so I’ve actually never left a Google review before, however I felt that I needed to share my experience with Liz and her hair salon as it was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. My sister had made an appointment for me for 11am today to get my hair washed, trimmed & blowdried. When I attended the salon at 11am with my toddler I was asked to take a seat. Liz was with one customer and her assistant was attending to another customer. After 55 minutes of waiting with no update or acknowledgment from either her or her assistant, I asked Liz if she had an indication of when she might be starting on my hair. She scoffed & replied “I told your sister when I booked you in that we were booked out already. I’ll be at least another 15 minutes.” I was taken aback by her rude tone & don’t know why she accepted my sister’s booking request if she was booked out. When I asked Liz if it would be ok if I rescheduled as I would have been at the salon for close to 2.5 hours by the time she’d likely finish, instead of the 1 hour my sister was told it would take & I would need to get lunch for my toddler, Liz replied “You’ll be putting me out you know. You’ll have to pay.” I told Liz that if she had at least told me while I was waiting for close to an hour, that it would be a 1 hour & 15 minute wait, I could’ve organised lunch for my toddler in that time & come back, so I’m not sure how she thought it was fair to ask me for my money for a service she couldn’t provide in a reasonably timely manner & without the basic courtesy of letting a customer know that it would be a long wait. She ignored me from that point & at no time did she even once apologise for the wait & for wasting my time & putting me out on a day I had booked in to get my hair done for a Christmas party. I’ve never experienced such poor customer service in my life, Liz is possibly the rudest person I’ve met who lacks basic manners & with a foul attitude. I’m so disappointed but also so shocked that this is how a business operates, showing such disrespect to its new customers. My sister lives around the corner & it was on her recommendation that I wanted to meet Liz & have my hair cut by her as my sister & I believe in supporting local small businesses, being small business owners ourselves, but that’s two customers she’s now lost. If you know her personally or may have caught her on one of her good days, as my sister must have to have recommended her to me in the first place, then your experience with her might’ve been very different. But I wanted to share this to warn new customers in the local community against attending this hair salon as it’s not worth it, even if she’s good at cutting hair, her disrespect, greediness & unprofessional attitude is something no one should have to put up with. I’m honestly in shock, I’ve never been spoken to in that manner before let alone by a business owner. It was absolutely disgusting."
