"It totally immersed me into irish music and culture. Peter an Taeko where so lovely and helpful. I took sean nos singing classes with Fionnuala Maxwell, and in 2 days I learnt 7 new songs, her way of teaching and transmitting the tradition is so enriching. Would do it again."
"I had a wonderful stay in Ireland with the summer sessions! Eveybody was extremely helpful and kind, and we could exchange a lot about music and Irish lifestyle. It's definitely an experience I would recommend whole-heartedly! :)"
"All arrangements from picking me up at the train station, flute classes to homestay were perfect. The 2 flute classes over just 2 days with Padraig Sweeney gave me the basis for me to slowly improve and progress. And the homestay looked after me no bother. Carrick -on-Shannon is a nice small town with beautiful surroundings, as well as having a traditional pub providing traditional Irish music. All in all my short 3-day/2-night stay worked out perfectly."
"I wanted to have some Irish flute lessons and contacted with Taiko and Peter . I am grateful that they advised me to go when Joe Mooney summer school was having place. That allowed me to have also concerts, sessions, Celtic dance and very good atmosphere at pubs, making the most of it. They were very kind and friendly to me , taken care every moment, always ready to bring me to all places, reserve my tickets and provide even the flute for me. The made me feel really comfortable and I am really great full for such a wonderful time I had in Ireland."
"Thank you so much for helping us discover Lietrim and Sligo! The beautiful stone holiday house you suggested was perfect - we love the place and found it very comfortable. My daughter and I enjoyed walking out to the lake to see the swans. After a week in Dublin it was such a pleasure to enjoy quiet, natural surroundings. We had a dream weekend in the area, 3 lessons with friendly and generous instructors on fiddle, flute and mandolin and we want to thank them for their time and tips. Our daughter came home and transferred the whistle tune that we learned to her flute. She's now very proud to have her own tune to play for friends. It was incredibly helpful to have your suggestions of musicians to take lessons with and places to visit. I don't think that we could have had such an enriched experience without your assistance. The suggestions of the which sessions to drop in on were perfect. My husband was in trad music heaven. The adventure has created lasting memories for our family. Next time we return we hope to have the same kind of experience with more time than a long weekend, preferably weeks."
