I have everything I could need and they were friendly and kind, and made me feel comfortable and like a member in the family. Besides the house was situated in a beautiful place next to a lake. "I was indebted for 3 days and 2 nights at the end of last year. Homestay for the first time in 18 years, husband for the first time. I wanted to take lessons in Ireland, so I researched and arrived at the "music lesson plan". During the busy Christmas holidays, they kindly accepted me and arranged harp, flute & singing lessons. About 3 hours by bus from Dublin, get off at Carrick-on-Shannon. My host father, Peter, greeted me, and after walking around town, I went straight to the pub. I was happy to be able to participate in the session from the first day. There you will meet up with your host family and head to your destination. A lovely stone house built over two years. A gorgeous living room with a Christmas tree and decorations. We relaxed in front of the fireplace and were lucky enough to have turkey for dinner. The Japanese wife, Taeko, is also very kind and friendly. All the dishes were delicious. I was surprised that 4 children can play various instruments normally! Freely playing whistles, bowrons, concertinas, and Erian pipes after meals, this is the Irish style♬ it was wonderful. The next day, I had lessons at the teacher's home in Kiju village from the morning. Since it was a one-on-one class, I was able to learn what I wanted to learn and ask questions, so it was a valuable experience. In the evening, I suddenly decided to take singing and flute lessons. In addition, he took us to the forest park, and responded to our requests such as afternoon tea at the old castle. On the last day, we were sent to Sligo by car in the morning, and we went to the monastery ruins and a musical instrument store to say goodbye. Since I am traveling alone, there are many places that I cannot go without a car, but I am very grateful that you took me with a guide as much as possible. Just from Japan, an elementary school girl was being homestayed for the winter vacation. Although it is an English-speaking country, there are few Japanese and the security is good, so I think it is perfect for studying abroad. Although it was a short time, I was able to put myself in nature and experience the warm hospitality and kindness. Still basking in the afterglow. A place I definitely want to visit again. "It was absolutely lovly staying. It was my first time to visit the Europe. Family and their friends I met were all sweet. I joined a medical herb workshop was interesting than I expected. Family Lowe supported me so much. They told or took me a lot of things as history, famous places, music, everything. Also, playing with many kids was unforgettable memory. It was good for me to know what they like/dislike to do. Studying culture, lifestyle, and their people gave me what I need for living. Thank you for letting me know about Ireland."
