"Been here a good few times. I've ordered either the beef or chicken burger. Each time it's been amazing, the beef and chicken are cooked perfectly. The burgers are large and the Bun is exactly what you'd want, not stale. The bacon is proper, same for the cheese and pickles. The fries are hot and hearty and they give you a proper portion. Pricing is extremely generous considering the Quality of burger, the fries and drink for €13. Would highly recommend Beach Buns and will be visiting again. (See photo)"
"This restaurant always has an open sign out front but is never open. The men inside laugh when we ask when they open due to the confusing signage and claim they like to “keep people confused.” If these are not the owners then the owners need a staff meeting. If they are the owners I dread the thought of what the service would be like if I actually was able to ever be served."
"Delicious fresh fish and chips while watching the sun set after a day on the beach: what’s not to love? We drove from Rosses Point and it was worth the trip!"
"The menu is simple here, but the execution of it is anything but… Safe to say the lads here don’t go in for much talking up their food, but just let the quality of their fare speak for itself. You can have a beef burger, a chicken burger, or a fish burger. That my friends, is essentially it, (there are a few other bits, but no need to get technical…) but sweet mother of Jesus, it’s good. I happened to be in Strandhill just after they opened today, and asked which of the three burgers was most popular, and both of the lads said “fish”, so that was my decision made. They told me to come back in 15 minutes, to pick it up. Well. A lot can happen in 15 minutes… obviously one of the lads must have headed straight out in a boat, caught a fresh haddock, filleted it, prepped it (when he was coming back in to shore…) dropped it some magic elixir batter and fried it, all while the other fella was baking fresh rolls, digging up and cutting the spuds for the chips, picking a perfect head of lettuce, whizzing up some tangy tartare sauce, and getting it all put together perfectly as his buddy walked in the door with Billy, the now battered and fried haddock, and dropped him betwixt the brioche bun. Absolute fishy perfection. If you happen to be anywhere in the vicinity of Strandhill around lunchtime, damnit, even if you’re NOT in the area, make it your business to go, get a fish burger, sit on the wall and listen to the sound of the waves washing in over the stones, and just soak up the salty air as you lose yourself in the food that the lads in Beach Buns make. It’s a treat for all your senses…"
