"Absolutely amazing! A lot of thought has gone into this B&B, from the décor to the crockery and the service is amazing. My wife and I had a covid contact scare shortly after booking and we notified Matt (the proprietor) of the situation and he said he'd keep the room on hold for us pending out test results (which thankfully came back negative). The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The B&B is set back from the N5 (Longford - Strokestown) road and is a beautifully converted coach house. We would happily stay again."

"Whole visit from start to finish was excellent. Could not really refer to Augherea as a B & B more like VIP Accomodation with a concierge service! Building is a restored coach house with bags of character. Had cause to stay here twice recently on business. Rooms are huge with separate walk-in closet for luggage etc. (Small thing but I hate sleeping in a room with a suitcase propped in the corner) High quality Mattresses & Bed Linen, 6ft Beds, Led tv, Decent wifi and Great showers make for a really comfortable stay. Downstairs there is a communal lounge with a huge tv. Breakfast is also cooked and served fresh at the breakfast counter. Great place to stay if you need to overnight and need somewhere peaceful to work. I think it would also make a great base for small corporate retreats etc. Thanks for the hospitality Matt and will certainly be back again."

"Room was immaculate, beautifully designed, and so comfortable. My daughter and I stayed there for 2 nights due to a family bereavement. We were treated with such sensitivity and understanding, and nothing was too much for Matt. He made us the most superb lunch to take with us, as we had an arduous day ahead. He accommodated my dietary requirements, and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast. I am a Vegan. Have no hesitation in highly recommending this guest house."

"We spent a lovely few days at the Coach House at Augherea in July this year. Matt and Nora were wonderful hosts and provided lots of advice concerning local attractions and things to do. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were outstanding! The surrounding countryside is beautiful and full of history. Augherea was a terrific base for this part of central Ireland. The Coach House at Augherea is a modern and very comfortable conversion in this superb location. Our room overlooked a lovely walled garden with two magnificent mature trees. Matt and Nora have also done a fabulous job with the main historic Georgian house at Augherea. We strongly recommend Augherea at Longford, to others."
