"From what I had heard about Neven's place I was expecting this to be good but I wasn't expecting to be blown away. The food here is phenomenal. The presentation, the professional service, the impeccable timing, the inventive and occasionally amusing tableware, the wonderfully varied menu, the sublime taste of everything. The welcome total absense of pretentiousness and stuffiness. Fine dining at its absolute best. This leaves so called fancier places I've eaten in looking very average. Stand out dishes for me were the quail taster and the duck main course but I'm being picky. There was nothing we ate that was anything less than highly impressive. My wife loves her desserts and pretty much thought she had died and gone to heaven. Eight courses of pure joy. Nine if you include the stunning bread basket and delicious dips. Having enjoyed dinner so much we were expecting the brekkie to be wonderful...which of course it was! Now I understand why there is such a long wait to eat and stay here. The bedroom was lovely and comfy with a certain old world charm. Well done to Neven, Amelda and their incredible team. What an experience."

"The food is good and tasty as expected. Mr. Gaguire the chef is friendly and down to earth....we stayed the night and the room were great (the nespresso coffee machine was a nice touch)... Breakfast the next morning was spot on...parking is on the street opposite the restaurant. Its free parking but places are limited. Overall recommended."

Try the tasting menu, choose one of the very reasonable wines, have a before or after drink at the bar. If can stay in the suite at the top of the house. If you get there early try Maguire’s pub across the border (50m away). Most of all enjoy and book again for next year."
