The Chalets Restaurant Killinure Chalets, Killinure, Glasson, County Westmeath

"Stayed here for 2 nights. Service was terrible, couldn't get through on the phone to get checking details & tried for 3 days. Arrived to a very dated run down chalet with old furniture, bedding & a sellotaped fridge. Didn't even supple a bottle of water. Dead plants on the deck, damp smell in the cabin & the bedding wasn't freshly cleaned, even found hairs in the bed. No instructions to checking out & was woke by gardeners strimming grass right outside the bedroom window. Absolutely terrible accommodation & they don't reinvest the money you pay. I will never return to this shambles. I wouldn't stay there for free, never mind €300 for two nights. Avoid!!!"

"Never have I been in a place with worse service. The place needs to be bull dozed 2.5 hrs waiting for food. It's bad when you have to empty the table yourself cause the staff walk right past you. Couldn't tellyou what the food was like cause it took so lo g to come out toilets were like a portaloo."

"Food was fantastic. It was a bit cold. Could have done with some heaters. Smoking at the entrance not a very good idea. Older lady taking orders very friendly and efficient. Other staff could have done with some training in that regard. Very hard to get a table here as they don't answer the phone. The food will bring me back."

"Compliments to the chef..steaks were great. However service was appalling, we were totally forgotten about...left in a corner, never asked did we want more water, wine, dessert etc. Not good enough!! Staff all sitting at a table havng the chat but forgot they had customers. It really was quite bad. I left the place angry having left over €80 behind me."
