Castle Dargan Hotel, Sligo , County Sligo F91 F2DN

"Castle Dargan far exceeded my expectations! The tree lined driveway hides the hotel from view until you arrive in the courtyard, where we were greeted by the lovely Caroline. Quickly checked in, we walked across to 'the house', and were blown away by the hallway with its lustrous wallpapers and statues. Our room, Lake Isle, was huge! We had a lounge, hallway, spacious bedroom, and very large bathroom. It was clean, comfortable, and just perfect. The hotel itself is also beautiful, with bar/restaurant area overlooking the golf course and countryside. The food was fabulous, and our service from Bryan, Ben, Nathan and Robin, was impeccable. We tried the seaweed bath in the spa. Great fun, and again, overlooking the countryside (made all the more enjoyable with a bottle of fizz). We were spoiled by the adorable Stacy. Sad to leave this hidden gem, but after two great nights sleep, we had to go, vowing to return."

"I had an opportunity to stay at this wonderful little hotel. I got to say I was very impressed. Such a lovely venue. The staff were pleasant and inviting. The hotel was lovely well decorated and comfortable. The food was simply amazing. If you are in the area be you a golfer or just a leisurely visitor, this hotel is worth a visit. Accommodation is very nice and also if you are planning on getting married this would be a very good venue. Can't wait to visit again."

"We haven't stayed in the hotel because we had a booking for the Icon Spa which is a part of the place. The location is fantastic and the premises beautiful. The Spa experience exceeded our expectations. Andy and Saoirse were so friendly and made us feel very comfortable and relaxed. My partner enjoyed every minute of the Swedish massage and I received great help from Andy who is also highly qualified therapist and a magician! I expected just relaxing massage as booked but was also relieved from pain in my shoulders and back problems. It's very difficult to find someone so knowledgeable, trustworthy and qualified in so many fields. Already planning next bookings. There's also complimentary sauna and jacuzzi."

"Rooms were nice spacious. Food was amazing and the staff were amazing! However the room accessories like the kettle, iron and hair dryer were pretty much just displays. Non of them worked! Kettle was filthy, moldy . Obviously not been used for decades!"

"Beautiful hotel and location. Rooms extremely clean and warm. Food lovely. Staff a little slow at times. Lovely barman who made delicious cocktails. Fantastic spa treatments by Andreas. Highly recommended a stay here."
