"We enjoyed our time here. Pros: breakfast amazing, rooms big, and great location, comfortable One problem was the young man who checked us in did not explain much about the property which made us needlessly uncomfortable. For example, it was too cold in our room. We first asked about the towel dryers and was told they were on a timer and he would turn them on. It turns out they are not on a timer but are attached to our private thermostat which we had no idea about until the second night when we finally got cold enough to ask if they might turn the heat on. We also had to figure out how to find people if we needed something. Everything is available here and it's a great place. We just needed information and it wasn't provided to us."
"Stayed here for 2 nights in September 22. Excellent location, welcoming hosts, great views and an amazing room (bigger than some peoples houses I’m sure). Only thing we would have liked was a kettle in our room."
"Is there a rating above five star? If so, the Down Yonder would deserve it. We travel a lot and I'm having a hard time thinking of a place at which we enjoyed staying more than this. Eavan and Guido were spectacular hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel right at home even when we arrived very late on our first night. The rooms are wonderful, the beds couldn't be more comfortable, the house is beautiful and the breakfasts? Let's just say we both gained a few pounds, not because of a lack of healthy options, but because we wanted to try everything. Now I just need to figure out how to fit an AGA in our kitchen at home. Lastly, thank you for the wonderful recommendations of things to do and see. We loved going to the beach in Strandhill and the hike up Knocknarea was great. Oh - after a day out seeing the sites, take a walk down the hill for a pint (or two) at Harry's."
"A very comfortable, scenic and peaceful stay. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful. A short walk into the village and a good base to see popular spots around Sligo. Would highly recommend."
"We have the most fantastic 2 night stay ,the room was fabulous and the bed was the most comfortable we have ever had .The breakfast was again the best ever we experienced and in this pandemic everything was done to keep us safe. The hosts were exceptional and I cannot speak anymore highly of them we will definitely be back. Thanks for a great time away"
