"Lovely setting in particular the house and surrounding woodland. Very authentic Irish country house stay that accommodates all dietary requirements with their lovely homemade breakfast. Would recommend!"
"We had a great tour around the house. The young lady who is the guide, is very good at explaining the history of the house. And I forgot to mention, while touring, we had a special visit of the 2 kids of the house and the dog, they are cute and added something special to the visit too."
"I recently spent a weekend at Clonalis House, and chose the self-catering option at their cottages. It was just beautiful. The grounds are stunning, the cottage lovely, spotlessly clean and so comfortable - I felt instantly at home! Everything we needed for our stay was provided and cafes and shops were within easy reach in Castlerea. Highly recommended!"
"Being the only break my daughter and I took in Aug 2020 we did not stray far away from home. We had a delightful stay in Clonalis House. Such a warm, friendly welcome from a lovely family who catered for us in a splendid way. The food and atmosphere were just great and we thoroughly enjoyed the lovely walks around the grounds. Delighted to read informative article in todays Irish Times and look forward to a future opportunity of visiting again. We wish them every success in the future."
"I spent a full weekend with friends at this beautiful estate where we utilised its four guest cottages and events facility - The Forge, adjoined by a spacious stone walled garden, that’s in the process of being developed and showing some great colour in one corner. Other plants, shrubs and decor are in their infancy and should have a wonderful display in a few short years. The facility is all encompassing with the guest cottages having everything one requires for self catering. The Forge is spacious with plenty of seating around three long tables for catering; no shortage of cooking/catering equipment and a great big fireplace with a stove that threw out plenty of heat when fire was lit. The scenery all around, trees, fields, river… was magnificent in its autumnal glory. Great walks and friendly proprietors made the venue homelike and welcoming. It’s certainly a great venue for party groups. The courtyard could benefit from more outdoor lighting for nighttime."
