The Moy Hotel Main Street, County Mayo F26 X2V4

"We visited this place the first week of January 2023. It was formerly 'The Mayfly' & has now changed ownership & undergone a complete overhaul. Decor is tasteful, seats are comfortable. Free parking is available in a car park opposite the front of the building. The waitress/bar person had a very heavy cold. She assured us that she had Covid over Xmas but that this was "only a cold". I would question whether or not she should have been working atall; she certainly should have been wearing a mask, particularly when serving food and drinks. Her attitude was bordering on rudeness at times but we made allowances given that she wasn't feeling well. Food is currently served from 12 noon to 4pm. The menu is limited but the food we got was lovely & well presented. I would hope that they will have a lot more fish on the menu once they get more established, given their location. We later spoke to a much more experienced member of staff who had just started working there. I hope that he will lead other staff in training & customer relations. Bedrooms are due to open by the end of January 2023. There's a small function room due to open later. This should be a great asset to the local community. There are few negatives. Two dishes from the limited menu were unavailable on the day. We had to ask for mayonnaise, cranberry, ketchup, salt etc. These need to be routinely provided."

"We organised an extended family meal for my sisters 21st birthday, the food was delicious. The hotel is very stylish and we had plenty of room in the function room. All the staff were lovely, would highly recommend. Thanks Helen, Sebastian, Laura, Leanna and Shauna!"

"Just fabulous ,The new Moy Hotel right in the heart of Foxford. Lovely cosy atmosphere, immaculately clean. The food was absolutely delicious & very well presented. The staff were extremely efficient and all were very friendly. Definitely will be back and really looking forward to my next visit already. Congratulations and well done to all at the Moy Hotel. So delighted to have the hotel back opened in Foxford, it's a credit to all involved. 10/10"

"Lovely meal in the Haymarket Bar Restaurant in the newly opened Boutique Moy Hotel in the middle of Foxford village in North Mayo. Meal was freshly cooked and well presented and prices very reasonable. Staff were very attentive and could not do enough for you. Great addition to the area, overlooking the River Moy just a short walk from the internationally famous Foxford Woollen Mills."
