"We had the most amazing stay at Cnoc Suain. Eleanor, Charlie, and Dearbhaill were so welcoming (they had fresh baked goods for us upon arrival!) Eleanor was very thoughtful and thorough during check in and answered all of our questions as well as provided us with great recommendations on activities we could do each day. They even provide rain boots if you’d like to walk around the property and see the bog and lake nearby! The highlight of all though: they allowed us to get ready for our wedding day at the cottage. It was the perfect backdrop for start of the happiest day of our lives, in a place we will never forget. On our final day, Charlie gave us a lesson on writing our names in the ancient Ogham. If you’re looking to unplug, enjoy a quiet getaway with lots of space to explore, and hosts who truly care about your experience, this is it! We can’t wait to come back to this slice of heaven."
"This was an absolutely stunning home and location. From check-in we were greeted at 12.30 am at the top of the lane which was just so impressive given the late hour. The cottage itself just optimises Irish culture from the local produce that was waiting for us, through to the Irish music and books. The location was ideal it was just a short distance from the beach and a short drive to Galway. Every little touch was thought of and I was really impressed that all of the cleaning product was Eco and sourced locally. Really loved it and we will be back. Thanks so much for being such amazing hosts"
"The stay was amazing and cozy!! The cottage was very homey and the owners were very helpful with pointing us in the direction of attractions and great food! It was very nice being able to sit by the fire and relax. It’s in the middle of two smaller towns so you have a variety of options when it comes to shopping and dining. Will definitely recommend to anyone we know that will be traveling tho this very beautiful part of the world!"
"Staying at the cottages in March was an amazing experience for our entire family. My teenage son, my husband and I were warmly greeted upon our arrival by Dearbhaill and her daughter Eleanor, they shared wonderful stories with us about the area and their cottages. The cottages are absolute storybook! It was so nice hiking during the day at Diamond Hill, then coming back to the sweet cottage and having a fire, relaxing with a bottle of wine and reminiscing about our fabulous day in Ireland. The kitchen is adorable and updated. They provided us with fresh eggs, butter, homemade lemon squares and Irish brown bread in the kitchen. Our stay here could not have been more special and enjoyable! If you stay at a hotel, it is nothing special and it is just that, a hotel. But when you stay at a very special place like Cnoc Suain cottages you learn so much more about the country of Ireland and the people of Ireland. When traveling with a teenager these are the adventures and experiences that I want him to have. These are the most memorable experiences. My son was very fortunate to be able to travel through Europe at a young age and he has so much appreciation for the culture of each country we visit and the people. I don't believe you get that same experience at hotels. I highly recommend Cnoc Suain Cottages and enjoy this are very special place!"
"We absolutely loved staying in this fantastic ‘home away from home’: a cozy haven we didn’t want to leave! Beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming, it was also very neat and clean. Our bed was comfortable, the walk-in showers were great, and we really liked that there were a number of interesting books and games. The surrounding area is stunning and peaceful. All in all, we thoroughly recommend a stay in this charming home."
