"This place is off the beaten path and a hidden gem. It is quiet and beautiful. The house has a homey vibe and it's facing a small lake which gives it a romantic feel. I was very surprised and extremely delighted with its affordability juxtaposing the services we received. We were a party of 10 that stayed and all of us agreed that it was more than a bargain. An absolute antithesis for the cliche of too good to be true, or that cheap is cheap and that you get what you pay for. We only paid £69 for two nights and that's including a really yummy, warm and freshly cooked breakfast. A real breakfast and not just continental, which most inexpensive hostels and inns here in California offer for that price. Mary was a very nice host and very helpful. She happily asks where we are off to or what our itinerary is for the day and gladly suggests places to visit and where to find good eats. We would love to come back and visit Ireland and definitely stay here again."
"I had an enjoyable stay. The place is cosy with a pretty view. The host offered great hospitality too!"
"This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience and I would have to say it wasn't for us. HOWEVER, If you enjoy B&B's this was a lovely place to stay and I would highly recommend it. The hostess was very kind and cooked a superb breakfast. It would get a little chilly at night and my wife is cold natured. Since it was summer, there was no heat in the room. The hostess was kind enough to warm up an old fashioned ice pack and bring it to us each night. The view from our window was beautiful and looked out over a small lake. There is also a castle nearby and the location is a short 40 minute drive through scenic roads to the ferry that takes you to the Aran Islands."
"This place was one of our favorite stays in month of travel! A very tranquil lakeside hone. Our hostess was warm, personable and kind. The breakfast was terrific!"
"Very nice place and very kind owners. The place sits in front a the lake at the end of a quiet road, but at ten minutes or so from the village with several places to eat and dinner. It's in a nice midpoint between Galway and Connemara area in general, and the owners are happy to give you indications not only about what to visit, but also which roads to take to admire the beautiful scenery."
