For those who prefer swimming, we have swimming pools available at our Knocknacarra and Bohermore clubs in Galway, as well as our River Lee Hotel club in Cork. Swimming provides a low impact but high reward exercise that engages most of the muscles in your body.

That's why we offer amenities such as outdoor hot tubs, tylariums, and steam rooms at our different club locations. At NRG Junior kids club, we focus on helping children become more active and develop good physical health and wellbeing for life. "Really nice gym in Knocknacarra ...multiple locations is a big advantage but to be honest I have not been to any other locations. Outdoors jacuzzi offers an individual experience for that cold and warm post work out cool down session. Sauna steam room and a decent swimming pool length and a great separate children section makes this a stand out gym in the area. Been very pleased overall and the staff are friendly and helpful. Could not recommend it more. The first time offer can reduce the joining fee on the day you view or enquire in person so have a good idea when you come to see this place."
"Pluses. Good classes Staff are great They have a sled Outdoor jacuzzi Negatives Clenliness of leisure area leaves a lot to be desired, showers are manky Sauna very steamy. Steam room hasn't worked properly in well over a year Pool very dirty People go straight from sauna into pool. Recent upgrades were all about style over substance. No slant boards, wedges, tib bar or nordic ect, Good thing is membership comes with bohermore whose leisure facilities and changing rooms are much cleaner"
"No enforcement or staff watching of time frames for sauna, hot tub and jacuzzi (15 mins per person) ; meaning you can't get in because some people hog it and Nrg allows this. The pool is often too busy to get space with 3 lanes being cordoned off for swimming lessons, very little room is left for adult members. If getting a membership for Pool etc only, it's not worth the money. Pool areas, steam room and showers also need deep cleaning; tiles are filthy and pool, hot tub and jacuzzi drains are yellow stained. Sadly the standard has dropped. The gym is much better kept and staff are really friendly and helpful but the above issues are unfortunately very off putting."
