"A small enough beach in Salthill. Generally not mad busy outside of the hot sunny days. They have put in extra seating and there are toilets nearby. Difficult enough to get parking sometimes. There is a nice little coffee shop close by"
"Fantastic place, lovely. Great place to spend for swimming, sun rice, sun bath"
"A nice stroll along the coast, lovely watching the sun setting. A terrific diving platform also provided for swimmers. Salthill is popular with visitors."
"Black rock beach on Salthill is one of the best places in Galway. There’s free parking space available. The walking tracks are amazing. The beach is clean with breathtaking views of the Atlantic. The sunsets are so relaxing and so is the walk on the beach with the background sound of waves coming ashore."
"A lot of people walking along the prom, the beach wasnt very busy but that's to be expected in October, although there were a few brave people actually swimming in the sea. The sand is a silvery grey colour which seemed strange with us being used to golden beaches. Prom and beaches were clean and the sea was very clear. Can imagine this is a very popular place in the summer."
